I don't know why but he does really well against me, I'm like an open book. I'm sure if he focused on winning instead of doing swag combos, he'd be winning tournaments.
no way... i love MK Kobra, but hes free. his rain is self-destructive and his sub isnt lame enough.

You win trades after you Set Up a klone and there's not much he kan do there. Patience is the key once you have a life lead.

Let's see what EGP Wonder_Chef thinks..
If Reptile spits, you can't trade. Reptile can also armor slide through the clone. And Reptile's pressure is better, this MU is 6-4 for Reptile if the player isn't bad.

i can beat out your ice balls with careful acid spits, i can utilize forceballs to counter clones, if u throw an ice ball i can duck and dash up for free pressure, especially if i know my clone timing.... i have decent corner escapes an armored corner escape and ex balls.... i out space you... have more rewarding offense and win the zoning battle... as long as im patient i win

I can respond to everything here in detail but I would be wasting my time because everything can be argued for and against. So I'm going to go off of experience, I play Forever King a lot and he is the only Lao that goes 5-5 with me, every other Lao loses. I actually used to think it was 6-4 Ermac, anyway if the Ermac player plays well, Lao can't teleport or dive kick, which seriously limits him.

Red Reapor I didn't know you played Ermac :D
So you could reply and break down the matchup but even though YOU made a matchup chart for discussion you won't? what the fucks the reason for this thread then? I thought matchup DISCUSSION threads were to DISCUSS matchups and not say "well i could say this and you could say that so im just gonna disreguard your post and keep the same number"

at the highest lvl matchups are supposed to be vs evenly skilled players, look at why FK goes even with you, perhaps not using a tool right in the matchup, stop fighting the other inferior laos and maybe try taking on PL.

No... Reptile-Sub..

But while you're at it Reptile-Ermac is something I'm kurious about too.
i think reptile sub is probably even, but idk, could go either way very slightly

and i think reptile has a slight advantage over ermac but very slight

i think reptile beats both significantly and clearly. his low hitbox fucks ermacs offense up, he has an easy punisher for force push and he wins the zoning battle or atleast nullifies it frequently.

"careful" also applies to iceball punishing spit on a read ;)

no, you gotta block the iceball and it has to be within a certain space

so does subzero

the zoning battle is even

your offense is negated by clone

its dead even

forceballs to counter clones? say hi to jip/iceball/ex freeze

I have asked PL to fight me, but he's too amazing to respond. He better hope he doesn't run into me at EVO.....

And here is why Ermac - Lao is 5-5:
If Kung Lao teleports, he eats a 40% combo.
So the only options for Lao to get in are to jump in, dive kick, and f3. Ermac can AA jump-ins and will severely punish blocked dive kicks.
F3 is the only option Lao has, and if I see it coming, you get punished. If I don't, I get chipped a little.
Ermac can also punish Lao's ex-teleport.

???????

an on point ermac teleports on reaction to forceballs

ermacs fireball is a frametrap fullscreen

1 wrong dash= 42% gone

low hitbox? ermacs strings whiff the same for everyone

a force push will be done on a read, not randomly, ermac isnt all spam tkp till dead

every time i see you post in a matchup thread you exaggerate one sides possibilities, you CANT factor in a player making better reads than the other.

at worst im getting a free d4 off your iceball, i can totally duck the iceball that reduces block stun... my offense is not negated by clone more than anyone else because if i know my clone timings and u try to do anything i get in..

312 whiffs on low hitbox... ive never played an ermac that frame traps at fullscreen... does this apply to whiff or block? and regardless it frame traps into a block push, and its spit that beats out your fireballs...

very well

Kung laos teleport is used in this matchup for mostly punishin zoning whiffs

jump in is universal, you can punish everyone the safe for doing so

jump kick divekick beats anti airs and punishes for about 30% meterless and is completely safe if done correctly other than some TKP chip which is a free roll

if you see roll coming youll njp it

if lao sees njp coming hell jik divekick for slightly less than the damage youd get for making the roll read

the ex teleport is a mixup, theres no guaranteed punish.

you dont get chipped a little, lao can start pressure because ermacs D3 wont cut it vs him and his strings are blown up by laos D3 and worst case scenario he d3s the 3 followup on reaction

ermacs holes in his strings REALLY hurt in this matchup because ermac cant abuse the D3
