I can mirror EVERY single one of these questions. I mean it's doubtful I will be able to attend, but it's a hell of a lot easier convincing the wife if it's a tropical paradise like St.Maarten. We both loved it there last year.

the hotels are less they gave out the promo codes last night on the show i dont remember them off my head check the archive when it goes up in a little bit.

i checked the original promo (group code: VXG13), all the rooms are booked. idk about any new ones or couples promo code

All those questions are also relevant to my interests. My GF would kill me if I went to both Vegas and then the Caribbean in the same month without her. If I'd be able to go, it would be with her, although i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to entice her

Guys sorry for the late reply. I am gonna add any of the questions to our FAQ right now that werent already there.

Let me say as i always say that if there is ever a tournament to come down with girlfriend, wife and family it's VxG, because there is always so much else to do other than just gaming. So thats a good choice.

Ok here is my rough answers till i put them into the faq:


Explain the couples package

VxG is providing a special registration option for couples travelling together who would like to have a fun, romantic experience with one another while here at VxG. Couples packages will be created to include a delightful, professional couples massage and a romantic dinner for 2 at your choice of three restaurants: The amazingly unique Japanese-caribbean cuisine of Bamboo Bernies, the cozy, modern lifestyle restaurant YOLO or the entertainment packed restaurant Cheri’s Cafe. These coupons will be handed to you on arrival.
We have not finalized the couples package as yet. However, the gamer should register under regular registration, and a couples package can be added to your registration later. GO REGISTER NOW before the first 200 MK signups happen, else you DO NOT GET THE DINNER. You can add the couples package later (we will just discount the registration fees you already paid).

What are the "guaranteed" payouts for top 16 per Injustice and MK9

Gauranteed payouts is the fixed prize the St. Maarten Tourism Board has sponsored towards the prize payout. This means that the prize is not based on the number of entrants, and rather is fixed (be is 10 entrants or 512 capped out entrants the prizes is fixed for VxG). There are chances that the prizes will go up based on support from other sponsors such as game publishers.

How many entries were there last year for VXG mk9
There were about 80 entrants last year for MK9. Previously VxG was the major tournament of the Caribbean but now it has become a major international tournament. We expect the numbers to be at least 200 due to the tournament being sanctioned by Shang Tsung, who will have a special dinner for the first 200 signups. It will likely be between 200-300 entrants. All our tournaments cap out at 512 except for SFIV and Marvel.

How will seeding work for MK9 at VXG and injustice?
The main way in which seeding will be given to gamers is based on performance at VxG qualifiers. Gamers who have won qualifiers or have placed at VxG qualifier tournaments have received seeding points. This applies to NEC, Winter Brawl and Final Round in the USA, and the various Caribbean, European and South American qualifiers. The top 3 at Evo will also receive some consideration for points.

Other things taken into account includes performance at last year’s VxG event.

How much is the MK1 re-enactment lunch scene to attend?

The MK movie reenactment is included ONLY for the first 200 gamers to register for VxG. This includes those that have bought a couples package and registered for MK9. Again, GO REGISTER NOW before the first 200 are gone! Mr. Tagawa only wants a select few to witness this so that it can truly reflect a banquet.
