Question Kabal immortality cheat on PS3 online play?

So I experienced something on the MK ranked ladder today. I was matched up against a player NOWOGARDZANIN(on psn eu) or what ever his name was and we started the fight. He played Kabal and I JC. I lost the first round and nothing weird happened and during the time between the first and the start of the second round when the announcer speaks(Ready! Fight!) characters cant usually move. His kabal went crouch during the announcing and blocked. When the 2nd round started I charged him and none of my moves hit him. Every attack just went right through him not mattering if he blocked or not. And he just watched me try to punch him.

So is this common, is it a hack what is it?

This is the invincibility glitch. A few characters have access to it, and yes....its fucking dumb. Kabal has the most ways to do it though. For instance, if he kills you first round in the corner with his overhead grab...he can do it. Among many other ways

It's a gamebreaking glitch that some characters can do after winning a round in a certain way. After doing a specific move to win the round(overhead smash, throw, ...) if you hold down + block till the round starts and the winning animation stops(you'll just see him down+blocking) he'll have the glitch. What this glitch does is make the character invincible to every attack when he is crouching and blocking. There is absolutely nothing the opponent can do against this when the glitch is done.

I've never had it done against me and I had hoped people forgot about this.

I dont think "trolled" is the right word. I'd say "cheated" is more in the same alley. So theres no help coming to this so called "glitch"? What about plugging? From the top 100 eu online players about 70 plug after every loss hoping not to get a loss marked in theyr stats(sadly it works most of the time)?

The glitch is only active when Kabal is Crouch Blocking, but trying to find an answer to this is kind of retarded, unless of course you always win the 1st round.

The solution i offer to you is fighting members of our community who knows this Glitch and will not use on you unless they want to troll you of course.

MK players don't give a fuck if a tech or setups is cheap, that is why some of us call it trolling instead of cheating.

You're prolly right. I stopped following it shortly after the news broke about it. The last I knew was that kabal had the most, though

Toasty boost is fine. Both players have the same amount of time to input it so it depends on your reaction time.

Yeah um, this is probably my fault, I don't usually play online but when the glitch first got discovered I went into ranked with Kabal, just to see if it works online ( DJ L Toro ), but me with my "fly on the wall" sense of humor I couldn't help myself and started trolling a bunch of randoms with it in KOTH rooms, someone there probably looked it up and found out how to do it lol

To my knowledge Kabal, Skarlet, Raiden and Cyrax can do it, but it's fairly obvious if the player using them is trying to set it up, so in Cage's case, just tech throws and mash F33.

This logic applies to every single character in the cast, everyone gets a free breaker, armor and/or a reset from it, infact it probably helps Quan Chi more than anyone as ironic as that sounds.

Not to mention the first hit bonus has been encouraged over tournament mode for almost 2 years now, why pick and choose where meter does and doesn't matter?

If you don't want to risk dropping the combo then don't use the uppercuts or simply don't drop the combo. Like I said, there is an equal opportunity for both players to get it. Kabal has the most trouble in the corner since he has to use a lot of b121's to do max damage corner combos. The easiest thing to do is wait for kabal to trigger toasty since he has the most chances to trigger it. Its more tough for the kabal player since there is more room to drop the combo.

Banning toasty boost because of dropped combos is silly. This affects more than just kabal. Any character will have advantage if you drop a combo

It sounds to me that you have a Kabal problem, not a toasty boost problem. Might as well ban kabal then

Ive played this dude like 40 times now, hes rank 3 on eu ranked. Ive won like 30 of these 40 games. Every time he loses he plugs out of the game so i get the "The game session is no longer available". Everytime he wins he fatalities me and before every game in the character select he waits for the timer to pick his hero instead of picking it inside the timer yourself.(in short hes purposely wasting your time.) Hes used this "glitch" on me three times now.

This explains a lot, don't take ranked seriously, 9/10 players there are insecure online statfags who you'll never see in the real, or even here on TYM.
