Kansas City MK players.tournaments?

^Hey man, glad to see you're interested. There's no set date for the next tournament, but there should be info on that in about a week or so at most. Again, those are in Overland Park. I'll shoot you a friend request and maybe we'll get some online games in while waiting for tournaments.

what about xbox users?

I see a lot of posts on tourneys for ps3 gamers, but what about 360? im not switching yet again to a different platform, im too broke for all that.... is 360 playable at these tourneys?

@nasty- 360 what is that? lolz Seriously though we have a lot of pad players who prefer ps3. If you use stick then just get a ps3 stick

First off, there's a tourney 7-23, and after that there's a tourney on 8-13 (guys like Dieminion, Yipes, and some other big names (in non-MK games admittedly) will be there!). Hope to see you guys there!

@Nasty: Yeah, lots of people use PS3 pad, especially for MK and T6. However, some 360 players have learned MK on 360 pad and transitioned to PS3 pad easily, and if you play on stick, you should be able to get someone to let you use their PS3 stick. So no, there are no 360 setups at tournaments (though at hookups there are some sometimes), but the transition is pretty easy tbqh. I generally play on PS3 pad but can play MK on 360 pad pretty well.

@Won and Mr: Cool, I'll try to get a hookup going in a week or so. Would certain days of the week work better than others?

Weekends are best for me, like saturday or sunday I work monday-friday 5pm-10pm.

Would the Saturday 2 weeks from now, going from 7-whenever probably, work? Also I've mentioned the idea of a MK hookup to AntKC and he's down to host at his place in Independence (which should be better b/c it's closer for everyone lol).

@Dave: You're still playing Mileena, right?

Yeah I could probably do that, Wont be able to say for sure until it gets closer but id be down.

offline small get together

i just got a new place in north kc, and wondered if any are interested in meeting up for a little sparring or even set up a small bracket. I have two tv's, two 360's , and two mk9's already, so if we could get just one more setup there we could run a decent 10 man game im thinking. my place is big enough for that, but then if we need more space, there is an event room at the central office of my apartments that they already told me i can use for $50 a day (we can split that evenly, and Ill put down the $250 deposit that is needed). lemme know if anyone is interested. send an email to [email protected] for a faster response

yeah, id definently be down to play some Mk, I haven't played for a while, but it'd still be fun.

well ill be home all weekend (call home number for address: 312-361-3750). Knock on the back sliding door, which is accessed in the back of my apartment through the gated patio (has a satellite dish on the rim of the fence). i am waiting on my digital phone/internet connection to come but its not till next saturday that ill get it so you can't call me.

my second setup is at a buddy's house so if you decide to come by ill have to go pick it up but id be more than glad for some real competition, ive been destroying these kids in the neighborhood.

Oh crap I'll have to meet up with you sometime, you're just a few blocks away from me! Not sure if I can this weekend though, but we'll see. I can bring my PS3 with some controllers too if need be.

Regarding the MK hookup I was planning: it'll be a week or so after Screenland Showdown, that way people can learn MK and not forget what they've learned right after due to focusing more on SF and MvC for the out of towners coming to the tourney.

And again, info for the Screenland Showdown tourney (which is this upcoming weekend) can be found here. Please, please, PLEASE come and show your support for MK. The general tourney organizers in KC are considering dropping MK from the lineup at tournaments due to lack of interest. We wouldn't want that to happen, would we? :(

It says tourny starts no later then 1 pm, do you know if it will start earlier then that? because I'd honeslty like to show up like 30 minutes before it started lol.

^They generally start at 1, but sometimes earlier. Just show up at 12 and you'll be good, if anything you can get casuals in while waiting.

Blargh i hope you know ima get my revenge on your ass for that bullshit comeback that went down in the first MK tourney. I can't believe i was holding up and getting thrown wtf lol :(.
