I've been lurking the Quan Chi boards for many millenia and decided it would be best for me to finally make an account. So.. uhm, my gamertag is The Great Ryan. I doubt I'll run into anybody from here though since every time I get on to play MK9 is a barren wasteland.

P.S. - should I play liu, reptile, or scorpion? quan chi is getting a bit old

Hmmm....pick Liu Kang if you would prefer a very well-rounded fighter who can zone and play rushdown; Scorpion if you like to take risks and live life on the edge; Reptile if you want an all-around character who I think is technical like Quan Chi, but in his own unique style.

See.. that's why it's hard for me to choose. Throwing in "all-around" and "well-rounded" plus "taking risks and live life on the edge" just makes it all the more confusing haha.

Let me explain a bit more:

Liu Kang is a jack of all trades: He can do it all (not counting his wakeup game). The only characters he doesn't do too well against are those who can do something better than him. e.g. Freddy Krueger and Kenshi: They have better zoning than he does.

Scorpion is a gambler's character: His biggest potential revolves around his 50/50 vortex. Choose to do either his overhead launcher or low-hit into Spear. If the opponent guesses right on the 50/50, Scorpion will get full-combo punished; but if the opponent guesses wrong, he will take a good amount of damage and get put back into the same 50/50 situation.

Reptile is one I'm not too familiar with, in terms of what kind of character he is, but he seems like a technical fighter, similar to Quan Chi, but in his own special way. I think you going to have to ask a Reptile player for better info.

I've decided to pick Reptile for the time being. Thanks for the help... now only if I had that MK1 skin. Bah.

reptile is a footsies character that is also an anti zoner and he has a shit ton of shenanigans and different setups. He can rush down, but he needs his footsies in order to pressure you.

if u don't know what footsies are, they are pretty much using your head to make use of any of your characters abilities wheathers its normal movement, a normal attack, or special move, to confuse your opponent an catch them off guard or to make them do the wrong move at the wrong time.
