I have a handful of characters I have my eye on right now, but I'll narrow it down after playing through the story mode.

I always like to see whose personality I like the most and start with those, then narrow it down further based which one of those characters' playstyles suits me best. So there'll be a lot of characters I mess around with, but I'm sure I'll find my main and alt pretty quickly.

Wow, that costume on Joker for the toy is ugly as hell.

If NRS doesn't have jester Harley, it'll be such disappointment. Classic Harley's costume is radically different than anything the whole roster has currently, at least, the armored version have a hint of their original costumes for the rest of the cast. Harley is the only one IIRC that's totally different from source.

I'm talking about straight up Black/Red jumpsuit with a jester hat.

Well, I remember it being mentioned that they will have a slew of retro costumes available for these characters. I'm hopeful that they will put in a very wide range, as this game is sure to be game of the year material if things ride out well with the casual and fgc.

The New 52 outfits are too godlike. If TB Michael Keaton Batman doesnt get in, I may use 52 Batman, or Arkham City Batman.

Personally I think the armored alt they included in the story trailer was crummy and disappointing. Too similiar to what they already had.

Hal as Green Lantern is right handed fight stance and when Supes breaks free from his cage he gets captured and
when we see him back he's gonna fight Batman as a member of the new regime with a Sinestro ring from the left hand.
This is a different fight stance with the left hand before your body like i said Sinestro would play with close ranged weapons
like Axe's, chainsaw and sharp handblades (Wolverine).
This confirms Sinestro as Supes Advisor like Quan Chi is to Shao Kahn....

If Hal's fight stance is right handed behind his body it confirms he's gonna use
boxing gloves, hammer from above and a jet......
This gets messed up if he changes to the left and like Rathalos said it's gonna be an alt skin
from Sinestro cause he's left handed and making Hal left is against character uneless it's
for a serious reason like not wasting a slot when Sinestro is already in from the left
with the yellow power and close ranged weapons.

I came to that conclusion just because it would be easier to have Hal be Sinestro's alt then it would be to alter all of Hal's moves to be yellow.

Well when it comes to the rings, it could be, that he has both a yellow and a green ring in combat, and he switches colors like how WW and NW switch weapons.

I doubt it's just a four pack, it's probably the zombie mode from MK9. Which means everyone has a Zombie alt, except maybe Grundy, cause that would be weird.
