Sounds like there's going to be some footage of a brand new character on Monday. We'll make sure to break down the footage and discuss the character in full!

Looking forward to Monday.

Hawkgirl will be the reveal. Calling it now .
I don't really like Hawkgirl but I have to concede that her design is outstanding in this game. It'd be unfortunate for such a great character model to be wasted by being used exclusively in cinematics.

That said I'm personally hoping for Captain Marvel, especially since the ensuing happiness would give me a great excuse to strike this pose:

Has anyone noticed there aren't really any characters with true Super Powers? Aside from Superman I guess.

It just hit me yesterday. I mean I was thinking of MK and thought, at least MK had punches and shit with cool elemental powers and stuff, than I thought of Marvel, Marvel has characters with actual "powers to use"

Injustice doesn't have any from of characters with actual powers, just look at the roster, and than look at gameplay.

Now look at MVC3 roster, than think of some gameplay, you'll see "powers" being used. I.e. elemental powers, etc in Marvel gameplay, but Injustice not so much.

My only hope is GL and Raven, I bet Aquaman wouldn't even use water or something as a power, he'll just fight with that staff.

This is kinda bugging me. Or DC is just like that.

Like Injustice just has punches and shit, and bullets/rockets...

I think we'll have a lot of characters like that but it just so happens that NRS is choosing to reveal them a little later. Characters like Aquaman, Green Lantern, Sinestro, Raven, Captain Marvel, Black Adam, Captain Cold, Martian Manhunter and more would give you some really visually diverse abilities; and those are just the characters we assume will make it. You'll have plenty to choose from I think if you want to stray from plain ol' punches, kicks and conventional weapons.

I have a feeling Aquaman will just use his trident and he'll be like Nightwing or something and the only power he'll use in his super. But I hope you're right buddy.

So what you're telling me is, Grundy is just a regular dude who happens to have knives stuck in him and used GNC products to gain the strength of 1000 men.

You're missing the point brah.
Alright let me try again. So Flash can run around the entire earth in about 5 seconds because he's been working out with Usain Bolt and drinks Monster Energy. Nothing superhuman to see here :D

Karried I'm half-kidding, but it just sounds to me like you're unfamiliar with the DC universe and have it slightly confused with the X-Men. Outside of superman, most of the most famous DC characters have some kind of physical component (lasso, ring, batarang, umbrella, power suit, nth metal belt, eskrima sticks, mace, etc.) associated with their persona and powers, and it's one of the things that makes DC unique.

No, I know the DC universe is more on persona, but, I don't know if characters with powers will make it in. That's why I listed Raven, GL and Aquaman. I was holding out for Static/MM but I don't see that happening. Mr Freeze or Captain Cold, even though it's man made they're at least elementalish powers. What I'm saying is, I wanna see something unique.

I hope he uses sea creatures. And yeah now that you said that I realize you're right.

Captain Cold, Green Lantern, Raven, and Martian Manhunter should be coming though

Phase 3

Looks like we can tack on some new gameplay/trailer analysis and a good ol' fashioned "who would win" debate to the lineup of topics for tonight's show.

We'll also be doing a full breakdown of all of Injustice's general game mechanics and how they contribute to building an overall metagame so expect to hear about how things like crossups, the new health system, pushblocking, wager, transitions and more will shape competitive play.

Looking forward to tonight!
