The Ignore Button Is Free
Its bad, but at the same time, it can be good.
The reason why its bad is mainly because of the frame data. It's almost non existent online. d1s become almost impossible to punish, d3 feel like hey leave advantage on block, harder to AA, harder to react to crossups, etc. Certain characters are gdlk online as well, like cage, mileena, kang, raiden and reptile.
Despite all of that, it's a good way to learn MUs. Since there are different scenes, there aren't many ways to play certain players outside of tournaments, so online can be a way to play those players and learn certain MUs. There are tons of players who play online, learn online and then perform well at tournaments offline. Pig Of The Hut is probably the best example of this.
