Ban lifted on women in combat

Rcently the ban allowing women to serve in front line combatant roles in the US military has been lifted. This has been an interesting time for the military here in the US with a lift on the "don't ask don't tell" policy and the Navy beginning to accomadat women on subs. Now though we will start seeing women taking the front lines in kombat, having served this country as a sailor and knowing there are some on this site that may be currently serving or have served, what does everyone think about the ban being lifted.

IMO, I think it was about time, in my time in the Navy I have seen women do many of the work us men do better than we could ever imagine.

Attack Liberia. There the US's Grendel bastard child.
They don't believe in the same god and they are mostly children so there is no way USA will loose. You could like, save the economy and control us average people with propaganda n shit :)
But LBSH more then half my life was during an endless war that greatly crippled the future that was originaly destine to me. Now I live in a struggling world. daily acts of the USA is the only hatred I have ever whittnessed.

I don't think women should be able to serve on the front line in my opinion. Let's be honest here, what chance does the average women have in a 1v1 fight against a male? Women are alot less stronger and physically fit (on an average comparison) compared to the male bodytype. So what happens when two countries are going to war, and a woman on the frontlines from USA ends up getting in hand to hand fight with a man from another country, and there really is nobody else around from either side.... How much of a chance do you think the average female would have? Like no offense but she would probably get brutally pummeled. There's a reason why they usually only have men stick to the frontlines and deal with most combat. That's my two cents

Wouldn't these women be going through the same training as the men, you and I both know that in a fight one's size and stregnth don't count that much, look at some of the men who currently serve in Spec. Forces out there, many of them are of average height and stregnth and yet they are trained to take down people of equal or greater size and strength than them.

he has smelt their hair burn, seen their blood blacken, heard their flesh crack. Didn't leave enough ashes to fill a fucking jar. They were just children and you tore them apart.

If you've ever had a crazy woman for a girlfriend who knew martial arts stuff that could kill you easily, you wouldn't be saying this.

Women can be as deadly as a man. I mean, have you ever seen the video of the little Asian chick that German Suplexed the fuck outta some die trying to steal her purse?

That video was fake and staged, Dontay.

Women have been in de facto combat roles for years, so it's not like this is that much of a change.

Also, the IDF is integrated, and they're pretty damn good at their job.

You keep saying average female. The average female doesn't sign up for the military.. And I'm willing to put 194 bucks down saying any woman, with military training, could kill you in under 10 seconds.

Though it isn't new in the world in general, but it is new to our military, for the longest time our military has fully limited as to what woman can and cannot do in the military.

Everyone should have an equal opportunity to die too soon. I approve.

Purple Belt in BJJ, White Belt in MK
As a person who has trained with multiple female purple-black belts in BJJ for the past 13 years, let me tell you, anyone who is saying "woman can be just as deadly as men" really don't know what they're talking about. Women, even competetive black belts, are not anywhere near the strength or ability of men.

Women playing roles in combat in an Artillery Battery or being a Tanker would not be bad. With that said I can not see a women in the Infantry or Spec. Ops. It would lead to less fighting and more fucking which might lead to our best peace plan yet, idk.

Thats the same argument that was thrown around when the navy allowed women on combatant ships, but they were right on that at first, as time continued it became less of an issue. Don't get me wrong being a former sailor I have seen much fratnization on the ship, but it was far less than what many would have assumed would occur. The biggest problem we every faced with women was when we had them purposfully getting pregnant to get out of deploying, which is what I see happening more of in this case.

Let 'em do it. They beat the shit out of a lot of guys just by under estimating alone. Their strength to weight ratio is actually very similar to ours. King works out, I dare him to fight Gina Carano or cyborg...and they give their male counter parts a run for their money during training camp. Also in war, there are weapons not just hand to hand and it has been rumored among my buddies that were in Kandahar and Kabul that the best sniper the enemy had was in fact, a woman.

The woman should meet the same requirements of that of a man. The requirements aren't necessarily for either man or woman, they are placed to see who can and cannot make it.

If a woman meets all of them, she should be able to serve.
