Would it be to selfish to ask for Kano :r:fk to hit low? it attack the opponents ankle for god sake, why is it considered a high?
Agreed many characters have moves that arbitrarily hit whatatever they felt like hitting. Nightwolves :r :fk also hits at their foot but is high.

it's special mid, not high. They jsut have to make: high,mid,low,overhead. Basicly to rename all "mid" into "overhead", and "special mid"(witch is high right now) into "mid". To me it makes more sence becouse in 2d fightings mids can be blocked crouching and overheads not. But that just my opinion.
 
Really I hope they fix the recording in training with dummies, I'm bored of getting punished by a lot of moves and I can't hit the lab and check my options against them, it's really frustrating.

Also please add region and connection quallity to the online matches, right now it's completely random the lag you're going to have in the next match.

It really annoys me since NR took great care in so many aspects of the game, but they didn't include some of the most basic things in a fighter.
 
Smoke don't have any low starter move or combo. His stand FK seems to attack low but hits high just like the 6FK of Kano and Nightwolf.
This 3 characters are the only characters that can not mix up and knowing that theres overhead's combos became useless.

A few things I've noticed, some probably already mentioned but just in case...

Cyber Sub-Zero's 2,1 is done with the same hand, so shouldn't it be 2,2?

Kano's f+3,3 is done with two different feet. Also, the first hit is done with the back foot, not the front. What a mess!

It seems like Sindel's fireballs don't come out consistently during her levitation. I guess an input bug or something?

Jax's (2,f+2),b+1 is only cancelable into Air Gotcha or Enhanced Air Gotcha. Is this intentional or a bug? Seems like a bug to me.

Sonya's Military Stance 1 is only cancelable into Kiss. Intentional or no?

Reset with Select/Back in training mode does not reset the full state of the game in many cases. For example, Shang Tsung will stay transformed after the reset. Characters will retain armor properties if you reset during the execution of an armored move. For example, vs. Kung Lao, put the dummy to wake up, then reset when he does Enhanced Teleport. After the reset your attacks will be absorbed by an armored Kung Lao.

It would also be nice to be able to reset during an X-Ray, or to hold left/right during a reset to start in either corner.

You cannot manually choose Cyber Sub-Zero's alternate dark blue color by selecting him with Start, because he has no alternate costume.

As far as alternate colors go, while many are great, a lot are still just have minor color tone differences that are way too similar. They should all be distinctly different colors in the interest of making everything clear to the eye, especially in confusing/fast situations. Not only for players, but for spectators/streams as well where everything is harder to see. Some of these even used to exist at some point...where's brown pants Kung Lao? If his damage is getting nerfed, he will definitely need his brown pants. I would also like Banana Sub-Zero.

It's probably too much to ask, seeing as how they can't add or remove moves from a complete work, but if ever possible...EVER...remove Sub's ground freeze and give him back his up freezes plox! His ground freeze has almost no use ever and it leaves him with only 3 useable specials where most people have about 4-6 on average. Make his up freezes blockable and give him the direct up freeze, the behind up freeze and the in front up freeze, like noob's darkness. If you do that, you'll make this Sub-Zero player one happy camper...along with most of the Sub community I'm sure.

P.S. And/Or his teleport wouldn't hurt either :D

lol. Reo and I were jokingly talking on the ride home from PnT about if Subzero had his Ice showers from UMK3 in MK9, and how horribly broken he would be if he did have them. Ice clone alone is worth 2 to 3 of other characters special moves.

omg... if Sub had ice shower, he'd be worse than MK3 broken tier.

Fix Stryker's fake gunshot so that you don't have to sit through a whole dash animation before you can block.

Or

Speed up his gunshot so that it isn't beaten onto the screen by every other projectile in the game (it takes 26 frames to get out.)

Also make it so his supposedly amazing standing :bk anti-air actually hits people jumping in from something other than the exact perfect magical distance. As it stands unless you do it almost predicatively early it loses to everything and kind of ruins his ability to keep spacing.

Yeah, Sub Zero definitely doesn't need the ice shower lol. He's already a beast.

Btw after a knockdown in the corner, :en ground freeze guarantees a combo as long as the opponent doesn't wakeup attack. That's about all its good for

I have also noticed that especially when playing 3-player sessions offline, we now and then shuffled the teams around, the controller presets assigned to the controllers would change. For example in our case, my two friends had preset 1 but I had preset 2 cause I'm using a stick. After few good tag matches we would switch teams, and then without changing cotroller assignments with the PS button and without exhanging controllers one of my friends would then be automatically using preset 2, and I would be using preset 1. The preset IMO should remain binded to the controller ID until manual change during the entire session, and NOT according to what team position you are playing. (PS3)

I don't play him much at the moment, but fix Cyber Sub's bombs - they're weird and broken in lots of ways that I've noticed in even my limited experience.

1) The input should probably be changed, but it's not necessary. ff+3 makes a mess with all of the dash~3 extenders unless you cancel with a brief neutral or a back motion. Something extra to learn with him, but it's not really depth, just an extra annoying input.

2) The freeze on them is stupid. I'm not sure of the exact mechanic required, whether it's they have to be in vulnerable frames when you shoot the bomb or what, but they're stupid. I know they're trying to prevent re-freeze gimmicks and infinites, but there has to be a more elegant way to do his bombs.
 
Dunno why I didn't post this earlier, Kano alternated costume lack the no fatality win pose animation, he just stay there in neutral position, not gameplay related but a glitch anyway.

In Challenge tower at any time during a match you can Menu->Rematch proving this functionality is already in game. Please add this to 2 player offline in order to speed up tournaments.

Kano:
Instant Air Ball (Back) has a nifty shortcut in UB~U~UF~F which gives it a ton of utility (At close ranges it gives similar functionality to Raiden's Superman). Instant Air ball (Forward) doesn't and in practice seems needlessly difficult to get off with the same consistency/speed. Any chance we can get UF~U~UB~B in as a shortcut?

Tom Brady mentioned something about removing some frames from Ball whiffs (EXCELLENT) and giving f4 the low property (good). That would be very awesome. (Dreams of being able to use Instant Air Ball (forward) as an ambiguous hit/cross up versus crouched opponents)

Raiden:
Could probably use a bit of a priority tone down on his superman. I'm not raging about the speed, or the cheapness. Just saying that any move that doesn't beat it becomes essentially unusable against him outside of combos. For some characters that's fine, for others it makes him seem virtually unbeatable.

Reptile:
Elbow Dash could probably stand to be closer to -18-25 on block. EX Dash could probably stand to diaf.

Kabal:
EX Dash could definitely stand to diaf. ;p

Cyrax:
Command throw should have the same properties as everyone else's for consistency. If you like the idea of "Super command throws" that's cool, but please leave them to the dedicated grapplers (Jax, Sheeva, Kano); they could use some loving.

Katana:
May have a glitch in some of her normal moves."Punished by full combo" Is not usually something you see attached to those...

Sub Zero:
X-Ray scaling in combos like all the other characters in the game. Can he haz it?
Fix the double freeze glitch.

Lots of Characters:
Have 100%'s or block infinites that can make the game REALLY cheesy. Ditch them.

his dash already is at like -12 or -13 on block this is why you have to be quick to punish it because most of the jabs in the game start up at 11 or 12 frames only a few characters have a faster jab than 11 frames on start up like sub zero's 2 that start up like 2 or 3 frames faster . . . but even with this fast jab the window to punish the dash on block would be like 4 or 5 frames and this is a really small window when talking about punishing on block other less useful move that come out at a slower speed than his dash are at like -35 or 40 on block

1)every special move in the game with very fast start up frames is at -30 or more on block and even on wiff there are at like -12 or more and they can only be use in two ways 1)fast mid range punisher or 2) to check your opponent

2) reptile dash is the second faster move on start up in the game but is only at -12 or 13 on block and -1 on wiff and it can be use for many things 1) closing distance 2) to check your opponent 3) fast mid range punisher 4) mind games 5) if you are at full screen and you guess your opponent will do a fire ball attack you can dash and then jump to get a full combo 6) after a force ball is block at mid range use the dash to get in and reptile get a 50/50 this and more

Either way I still stand by it seeming like it needs a good 30-50% increase in its punish window.

yea man 6 frames can go by in a blink of an eye and that is the window you have to punish the dash if kung lao's
spin start up in 6 frames
