Hey ya'll,

So, we all know that we're ALL going to EVO 2013. Some of us, however, don't have fully-developed scenes and/or are unable to make it out to tournaments.

I want to pull together a list of people willing to help each other level up online in preparation for Evo 2013! We all know how frustrating it is trying to find ggs in the chatrooms. You end up resorting to unviable tactics, jumping -- i.e. shit that will get you blown right up in tournament.

This will be an informal assembly, but I mostly envision this as a way for people to friend each other on XBL/PSN/Vita without having to explicitly ask. This will also be a good way for people to level up against certain mains.

Guidelines
  1. Keep it friendly, please.
  2. Don't get mad.
  3. Don't try to make people mad.
  4. Drama/trolling is strongly discouraged.
  5. 900-900 (no blood code) is strongly encouraged. I don't want this to turn into a thing where people are 'proving' how much better they are than others and babying each other. It's strictly meant for leveling up.
  6. Long sets are encouraged. Ideally FT10 (if you're counting) is a good way to get a feel for the match-ups. This won't be enforced in any way, but playing one and quitting is not what I want the norm to be. If your opponent is that much better/that much worse than you/the lag is terrible, play at least a FT3, even if you're getting frustrated.
  7. Everyone that wants to/plans on going to Evo is invited!
  8. Feedback on sets is encouraged in this thread. If you notice someone is using a lot of unviable tactics, let them know BUT ALSO provide alternatives and solutions. There's a fine line between offering helpful feedback and making excuses/being salty. If you're uncomfortable with providing constructive feedback, or you have a cognitive disorder that can prevent you from providing tactful feedback (e.g. Asperger's Syndrome), please read here for information on how to provide constructive feedback.
  9. These guidelines are subject to change based on community input.
These guidelines will be very loosely enforced so as not to create drama, but if I see a pattern of complaints, then I'll take corrective action.

Joining

Simply list your Network(s), Gamer tag(s), main(s), secondaries (optional), and if you're on Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

When you join, this is a free invitation for other players on this list to friend you. If you're getting random requests, check back with this list if you're unsure whether to add them.

Thanks! Yea, I was wondering the best way to organize the meetups. Doing a public room can get tricky if it gets invaded by trolls. Maybe it's just a matter of knowing who's in the 'club', so to speak lol. I give mad props to TYM all day so if we do public rooms EVOTYM will def be the name ;)

To make it easier on yourself... let's just spread the word of the name "EVOTYM" for the room. IMO this is self-explanatory.

connection is Wireless, 20 Down and 1 up and open NaT. Anyone within the West Coast area i usually get 4 or 3 bar connections with very little lag. And yes this is the best connection i can get for where i live and wiring it is impossible
