The Official Virginia Thread (NoVA + SoVA)

Made this Post on the Nova thread, But this apply to all of us Virginia Players.
As you guys know, Tom Brady was Here on Richmond, Virginia To compete in the Civil War 3 Mk tournament. I didnt go (plans), so i didnt see how the mk community is doing. So, i asked tom and his said: Watch on 0:20:05

Dont hate tom, but it is true. He could just lie but he was honest with us. Not that but he also challenge us to step up gaming and mk community. So, where i coming from? Well i think we should take up our gaming, both of us (SoVa and Nova players), Stand for our games, and Prove Tom Wrong. So, if you are a NoVa or SoVa fightiing player and is looking for competition or is interested, Please reply Either thread.

Oh Blackula, can you remove me from the civil war3 mk tournament ranking, I couldnt assist but then again werent the check outs to see who has legit or trolling or couldnt assist. Sorry but plans came out of no where thanks in advance :)

Hi guys,

VATR (Virginia Tekken Rage) has been hosting Tekken tournaments this summer and we are gauging interest for holding an MK tourney at our last summer event in late August (date and name TBA).

I'm not a MK player but I've been in the competitive fighting game scene for a while and am cool with a lot of players in the scene.

If you live in NOVA/MD and think you would come out please post up.

Off the top of my head I can think of the following players that would enter MK if we ran an event

Blackula
Neo
Jaguar
Vegeta
SWB
Jandek
SMP
Ryry
2 of my friends who don't post on TYM

Mind you, this list is only full of people that I know from playing other games. I don't know too many players who play exclusively MK9 so that's why I need your guys help to come up with a list/number to use to convince our tournament staff to include MK over Marvel and SF4 AE, so please post up if you're interested.

I see...we need improvement in Tekken..... That may be true but in this vid it sounds like the rest up us are horrible or something. So what was with all the salt when wai consistently dished out ass whoopins? Tom's cool and I like him I sure as hell don't hate him, he's helped me out with a few things in and out of the game...BUT...all that stuff is still shots at pride for me. So. Due to that I'm going to resolve to get WAY better with whatever it takes and then put a stomping on said persons and anyone else that gets in my way. (Not salty but I won't back down from a challenge) So bring it on. I've had juuuussttt bout enough of ego trips -_- I WILL prove him wrong *grin*

Came up with these the first hour after playing. I got better ones now but still workin on the vid. Never got a chance to upload em, He's def my main, I fit into playing this dude the second I picked up the pad. Still goin with scorp as a backup though.

Alright guys, VATR has decided to include MK9 at our event, Summer Crowns and Beatdowns (SCB) August 20th at George Mason University. I will have a thread up on TYM a little later once the logistics are worked out. Please try to spread the word to anyone in MD/VA that plays MK.


Also, Tom Brady has told me he will be attending.

question. You guys gonna allow the DLC characters? Kenshi, Rain, Skarlet and Freddy? Freddy comes out the 9th so it'll still be almost 2 weeks and the rest about 4 to 6 weeks of exposure time. Just needa know, cuz I play rain and if he will not be allowed I'll train scorp till then.

Good question. I guess it depends on what the MK community is doing after Evo. If they do, can people please help out and bring setups? We don't have any copies of MK let alone PS3s with DLC. If you can bring a PS3 with the DLC you'll get your venue fee waived.
