Next Week NetherRealm Counts Down Their Top 10 Mortal Kombat Moments of 2012, What Are Yours?

Last year, 2012, was an incredibly strong year for Mortal Kombat. Our numbers at tournaments were consistently strong and only became stronger. From the noise we made at our second year at Evolution to our continued hype and demand from Major League Gaming... not to mention our beloved "grass-root" tournaments, regionals and majors all made for needless to say, a very memorable year. NetherRealm Studios has recently made a tweet saying that they will giving their Top 10 Mortal Kombat moments of 2012. What could they be?

NRA blames the Sandy Hook shooting on Mortal Kombat. It's easily the biggest MK moment of the year - Whether or not they use it because of the recent events is not yet known.

hands down the very first mk tourney grand finals. power up 2011, tom brady vs pl. I wouldnt be playing this game right now without that grand finals.

but for 2012 it is hands down anaheim.

"More deadly than the dawn"
Being at EVO and finally being able to meet everyone was my favorite moment. But obviously that's not a specific moment.

Mustard and Maxter finally having that Cyrax mirror was sick though.

Without being biased, Foxy eliminating Reo from EVO was my most hype moment I've ever experienced, as one of his countrymen and a friend.

Curbo at his first MLG was also one of my favorite memories. That was really hype.

Can't match da hype of me vs detroit at evo 2012, mannnnnnnnnnnn i dnt need to say anything else about that one
then you got denzell vs Pl at anaheim: xray cancel had ppl's heads exploding and the set went 6-5
pig vs denzell: every match final match final round
I could list 20+ but i'll just put a few.

My top three were probably as follows: MIT pulling out Scorpion at top 8 in Evo to beat Detroit (and then the Bernie that followed), the Jax off between Jr and Tyrant, Tom Brady coming back in a huge way and inexplicably making two top 8's back to back with Sub-Zero. These three warm the cockles of my heart, maybe even the sub-cockle region, or something.

For me it's gotta be Big D making his mark at Final Round.

Big D was to CDjr what 123 Kid was to Razor Ramon back when he first came into the WWF (thats right i said F, and what?)

Mustard won the mirror, but lost pretty damn closely when Maxter switched to cage.

Was a really fun set to watch, I can't fault maxter though, he played damn well. They both made it out of the pool.
