Dexter Season 7 Finale

For anyone who watches Dexter I'd like to discuss with you guys if existent.

IMO, it wasn't very strong and feels like it only bridges to Season 8 which apparently will be Dexter's last season (sad faec).

Maria's death wasn't even very impacting and it felt like she deserved to die at some point anyways.She died in the first novel after all, stabbed by Brian Moser.

I think it was fitting.
Dexter honestly has run its course on tv.

The big thing I felt was pulled from the season was that .... deep down.... Dexter isn't a hero, and he's actually human. I enjoyed the season. I expected it to be better than last (yuk) but nothing like the impactful 1st season into the bay harbor butcher.... or the season with Trinity.

I'm anxious to see if they stick with Hannah McKay. She brings an interesting twist to the table.

The reason season 1 was so good is the fact that it was based on the novel.The TV series made Dexter lovable and all romantic and stuff.His novel counterpart is more dark and serious.Rita never died in the novel and Astor and Cody have Dark Passengers as well.

Jeff Lindsay even stated that Dexter doesn't care about justice, he cares about killing.The code just made it so that he would kill people who deserved to die more.

As for Hannah McKay...meh, never liked her anyways.He should've killed her when he had the chance instead of spontaneously having sex with her for no apparent reason which made 0 sense.

They totally screwed the pooch killing off rita.... it was almost like starting over.

But... i mean.... at least Hannah McKay EMBODIES the killing. He IS dexter with her. Deb makes him soft.... Hannah brings out Dexter. Thats why i'm anxious. Maybe they'll go out the way they came in.

I'll have to read the novels... i love books.

I'm the opposite, I HATE books.I have no imagination.Plus ADD doesn't help.Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dearly Devoted Dexter and Dexter in the dark are the only ones I've read so far.This holiday I'll get Dexter by Design and start to read it.

I really hope Deb doesn't go to jail, that would ruin the show. Hopefully Dexter figures out a way to cover this up without everyone suspecting something.

Very true, the season's potential died with Sirko.A gay gangster/terminator/avenger. Plus he's not an actual psycopathic serial killer like most Dexter enemies.

Highly unlikely, my guest would be Batista , Quinn and Mathews are going to go after him.

Pretty good ending but was kind of hoping Laguerta was going to successfully expose him. One last season is probably right. As good as American TV is, it has a habit of milking shows to the point they lose their impact.

Can't wait for the 2nd half of breaking bad S5. That cliff hanger!
