Hey guys, A.R.K. IV is coming up September 17th-18th in Jacksonville, AR! We are expecting ~200 people with games such as SSF4:AE, SF 3S:OE, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, Melee, Brawl, BB:CS II, and more! Competitors are coming in from at least 6-7 several states to compete!

Note that our tournament is working on securing sponsorships from well known companies which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. The Traveling Circus has expressed interest as of this time. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.

I'd normally respond to replies on this thread, but I'm so busy with Med School that I don't have time (though I may check in once in a while if there's interest). Please try to make it and show your support not only for us, but for the regional MK community as a whole. Thanks guys!

hey ice are you guys still big into mk?

fightclub here in fortworth has all but died for mk and i was wanting a place i can come out and get over this hump in my play (and online just is not cutting it.)

Anyone run casuals near Plano? or in Dallas?

Any major tournies coming here soon? I recently got enough money to buy a pad and maybe a converter, so im thinking of dipping into the offline scene in the near future.

Are games still being held at the house of goons? i would be really interested in coming down to play some casuals!

I also want to give a shout out to any DWF players that are hosting any kind games. I live in Frisco TX and I'm getting really tired of trying to get better, and only fighting people on xbl.

Recently relocated to the Dallas area myself also looking to see if the games are still going on at the House of Goons, or anywhere else.

Won't be able to make that tournament next week have to work unfortunately

The house of goons has always and will always be around. Every Friday night is when people gather to play. The problem is no one ever came around. People would rather stay at home and play on their xboxs and now all the best in the metroplex don't even play MK9 anymore. That ship has sailed. If you are serious about learning to play and want to get better, you can still come out and I'm pretty sure you'll find people to play - but if your a masher looking for a casual experience, take that shit elsewhere.

I think we are going to try to start one up a little more centralized that will focus on mk9 and hopeful some tekken again

hog is alwase welcome and im going to try my best if i end up being the host to get it on a day that does not interfere with hog or fight club
