I have changed the stream quality so people with not so good of a computer can also watch now.
I've never understood this. Who the fuck checks their e-mail regularly enough to actually be able to get an email from twitch and then go to the stream without missing the whole thing? Also,. encourage your viewers to hit the follow icon when they're at your channel, so that they'll receive an email alert whenever you go live.
I do. It's really not a bothersome habit to get into. Very convenient.I've never understood this. Who the fuck checks their e-mail regularly enough to actually be able to get an email from twitch and then go to the stream without missing the whole thing?
Heh, well i actually do have mine set up that way. But that's a pretty recent thing since I've just got my first smartphone a few weeks ago. However it's extremely inconvenient for PC-only users... there should be a browser plug-in that lets you favorite streams via it and you get a popup notification whenever the stream is live. I regularly have 20+ tabs open at a time, I'm not about to keep my email up in one of them and constantly refresh it ;_;I do. It's really not a bothersome habit to get into. Very convenient.
If you watch through cell phones, you can hook up your email account through it to get notifications mid-travel, and if your Twitch app works, you're set.
...you can enable email notifications so a small window appears at the lower right of the screen.Heh, well i actually do have mine set up that way. Where? Looking under Settings --> Notices, I only see the option to opt-in/opt-out of e-mail notifications. Where is this small window at lower right of screen popup setting?...you can enable email notifications so a small window appears at the lower right of the screen.
If you have the notifications enabled, the window should appear at the precise moment you receive an email. I've used Yahoo and AIM and they have such options.Where? Are you talking about notifications via an e-mail provider for receiving a new e-mail? Because that's not what I'm looking for lol, I don't want to leave my e-mail open because it clutters my tabs. I want an in-browser solution that will pop up when relevant and then close itself, just a little notification instead of an e-mail I have to navigate to, read, send to trash bin, then perma-delete every time somebody goes live.If you have the notifications enabled, the window should appear at the precise moment you receive an email. I don't think I'm understanding your situation, Frothy...you don't have to leave a tab open for your email. If the notification window pops up, you click it and boom, it shows you the email immediately, at which point you can delete it, close the tab, and that's that. Are you talking about notifications via an e-mail provider for receiving a new e-mail? Also, an alert on my droid in the taskbar on the top would be good, so I can see who's live instead of having to open the app and searching for the stream. I don't have an option to log in so I can't even see the list of who I'm following, all of it is pretty weak and poorly designed....
Yeah, I think there's a big miscommunication here as well. Forget it lol.I don't think I'm understanding your situation, Frothy...you don't have to leave a tab open for your email.
