Random Phrases.

For those who don't know, MK9 has kombat codes that resorts to a random phrase being said right before a match begins. These random phrases hint to some sort of secret in the game.

With that being said, there are a total of 8 random phrases:

Random Phrase 1 “Don't defend in a temple corrupted with shadow.” P1: 7-1-7 P2: 3-1-3
Random Phrase 2 “The krypt walls hold secrets.” P1: 4-4-8 P2: 8-4-4
Random Phrase 3 “What lurks at the bottom ofThe Pit?” P1: 1-2-2 P2: 2-2-1
Random Phrase 4 “?SUNOB YTSAOT” P1: 0-0-9 P2: 0-0-9
Random Phrase 5 “Who hides in the forest?” P1: 5-5-0 P2: 0-5-5
Random Phrase 6 “Motaro Transformation?” P1: 0-3-1 P2: 1-3-0
Random Phrase 7 “She waits for you at the top ofthe tower…” P1: 2-8-2 P2: 2-8-2
Random Phrase 8 “Thanks for karing!” P1: 1-2-3 P2: 9-2-6

Now, with the frenzy of Random Phrase 4 going around, maybe this may lead to some other types of secrets in the game. For example, look at Random Phrase 6. In the classic MK2 game, shang tsung had a fatality in which he can transform into kintaro. Maybe he can transform into Motaro in this game? Another example is in MKSM, the boss endurance mode wasn't found until a year or two later, thus leaving players looking for more secrets. Maybe we should look into these random phrases some more and we may find something.

Btw, I know the secrets of Random Phrases 1-5 and 7. I'm still stumped on Random Phrase 6 and 8.

Have you attempted a Shang Tsung fatality with the Motaro Transformation code on?

#6 is an inside joke, back in MK2 on it's test screen where you could configure dip switches and such, they was a menu showing general gameplay statistics, and had a column named "Kano transformation", implying you could morph into Kano's sprite even though he wasn't playable.

Likewise in MK9, while Motaro is in Story mode, he's not an actual character. (which is a cop out imo..)
So yeah, it's all a hoax

#2 happens in the krypt. There are some treasures that rests against the walls.
#3 is about the hidden classic reptile fight.
#4 is about the toasty bonuses.
#5 is the hidden classic smoke fight.
#7 is the hidden classic jade fight.
