The MK crew at Dibbz is fairly small. Overall there's probably like 10-12 of us, but most of the time that we make it there is maybe 3-4 of us, mainly eklectic, Ermaculate_Slim, and me.

Eklectic works 7 on / 7 off right now, and Slim (and usually a couple others) gets a ride to dibbz with him, so usually if Eklectic can't make it, nothing really happens. So right now with Eklectic's schedule, at best we're able to hit up Dibbz every other Friday. The three of us are the most consistent for going to Dibbz. The rest seem to be pretty random, and most have been hardly showing up for a while.

I work Friday nights, but what usually determines if I can make it is whether or not I have to work the next morning, which varies week to week.

The other side of the coin is we're not just limited to meeting up at Dibbz. Most of us live within an hour of each other, so getting together at one of our houses (usually my place or Eklectic's) when schedules permit isn't too difficult.

Especially once my ex moves out this month. Then my house will really kick ass, haha.

Add me on PSN (FLIPOUT) if you wanna fight online in the meantime.

As for getting blown up...if you do, then consider it a good thing because it will help level you up faster.

There's also a local tournament this Saturday in Lafayette. Turnout has been weak lately so this is pretty much MK's last chance to get a decent turnout before they drop it, so if you can make it, you should come. And tell everyone in the universe that you know.

Probably wont be going to Dibbz this week. The Lafayette tournament is supposed to start at 1pm so I'll probably crash at a somewhat reasonable hour. Plus I hate not getting to dibbz until like 11:00-12:00.

Sup Gametime. Still can't make it to Lafayette this weekend?

Once I get these hurricane repairs finished if this asshole repair guy would get off his ass and call me back, I'm gonna buy some stream equipment. From what I've seen a decent HD one will run around $200 or so.

Then extreme amounts of Louisiana violence will be streamed regularly.

I don't really know much of anything about it though. Do I just need a capture box and the connection cables, anyone know? Or is there more, other than the software that I'm assuming comes with the capture box?

heyyyy i'm karen and i live in lafayette and i started going to a store called anime and games central where there some fightin game players there but none of them play MK. i'm the only person who knows anything about MK since they all play tekken and marvel 3. i'd love to find people to play offline with but it doesn't seem like there are any in my area. i'd be more than happy to try and run events and bring my asus monitor and xbox (i don't have the game for ps3 and i play on an arcade stick anyway) and have people to play casuals with. i also have hookups to provide pizza. free pizza and playing mortal kombat with a girl should sound like fun right?

Sounds pretty fun lol. You have a pretty good Ermac and night wolf player out there in Lafayette. The Ermac player is Dustin Pelous. Anytime u wanna meet up with us at Dibbz on a Friday night just hit us up. There is also a few fighting game community pages on Facebook.

Yeah Anime & Games recently dropped MK due to continuous low turnouts. I was at the last one where MK got canceled, and the one before it where MK had 6 people in the bracket.

I'm in Gonzales (just outside of Baton Rouge) if you wanna run casuals sometime. I'm always down for playing offline and We meet up at my house sometimes. We also meet up a lot at Dibbz in Metairie too. I'm pretty sure the Nightwolf player Eklectic mentioned is from Texas though.

Lafayette seems to be pretty dead as far as MK goes. Last month's tournament got canceled (and they dropped MK as a result of it), and the one before it only had 6 people show, and 3 or 4 of them were from Texas. Then they moved to California.

We can probably get something going in the BR area in the near future, even if it's just a bunch of us playing casuals. Other than that, the only place things usually happen other than Shreveport is at Dibbz in Metairie.

I'm about to get something rolling soon. Soon as I get a few things taken care of over here and get my stream equipment in, it's on.
