"I have good taste because I like what I like"
I am christian (Hell my parents had their own church up until recently), and this is probably a good idea, but I just don't feel like filling out those 3 paragraph sections lmao.

Edit: Bullet bit, I've got nothing to lose anyway, why not.

That picture makes me feel violated. Not in a good way either. There's too much tightness in the crotch area, toooo much.

I am your god
While I must admit I am offended by people's child like behavior when it pertains to God. I see no problem with this. I do not bash a persons belief nor should we. There may very well be people in this scene who have their personal relationship with God, why joke about it? Is it your insecurities or that fact you feel God turn his back on you because you had not gotten and IPhone 5? Explain, why such distain please

People can believe whatever they want to believe, I don't judge people nor think of them as inferior for what they believe in. Some people need or want guidance in their life, I'm perfectly fine with my non-religious self so I don't require a church, temple or otherwise. I just follow my moral compass of being fair to people, to treat others as you'd want them to treat you. Isn't that the whole point of religion to give you a goal and some standards to live by so you don't turn out to be a complete asshole?

Exactally, be who you are whether agnostic, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, or even smutty :) but we should kind of be welcoming to a group willing to sponsor a player, whatever skill level or religious beliefs he or she has. I really thinks this group is a good thing for our community. It may also give those a chance to show there beliefs a bit without the rest of us myself included making them feel somewhat inferior to the rest us. Let some people who may have strong convictions to play games and bond with others with similar beliefs. amen now resume

I miss you
Ok... This thread really got me heated.

First, I feel compeled to share with you guys my spiritual background: I was raised as a catholic christian, but in the most open way. I didn't attend to mass, nor I prayed at night. In fact, I only remember praying in desperate situations. I voluntarily went to my secondary school (secondary school here is from 13 to 18) not because it was catholic, but because it was actually the most reknown school in Electronics and Informatics. Two of our democratic elected presidents, Tango legend Carlos Gardel, just to mention a few, went there. Actually, despite being a christian school, there was NO requirements for entering, you could be jewish, muslim, or not even being baptized. Priests were actually just a figure for student counceling if you have any sort of personal trouble or spiritual question. And they didn't even wear those hoods, they wore jeans and t-shirts. Man, they even made tolerance speeches in favor of homosexuality and they believed in the Theory of Evolution (so do I). Oh, and Religion as a subject was optional. Well, maybe growing in this enviroment made me realized that religion can be a good thing. Not because I believe in God and Jesus (although I do), but because it looks like a pretty good set of rules to live life. When I was 17 I took the sacrament of Confirmation, voluntarily.

Now, maybe this fogs my view, but I don't see anything wrong with these people trying to ultimately economically help players to reach into tournaments. You guys are continuosly making donation threads to help people go to certain tournaments, and now you despise when someone tries to help? I expected more of you, TYM.

Now, rewatching the video, the dude really tries his best to remark that they are not going to push anyone into anything. They just want to bring unity to a community as well as giving any kind of spiritual (might be just personal trouble) to people. I don't see anything wrong with that. Also, about why they would choose MK, being bloody and gory, you really must live in a cave if you think every christian is against video-gaming violence and bloody stuff. If you really think someone will think you are a satanist because you main child-killing Freddy, something is wrong with your self-confidence (although I might not be the best to talk about that.

Just my two cents.

People just have knee jerk reactions to things. Plus anti-theists get scared when they hear the word christ.

No, not scared, annoyed that religion has historically been forced on people, and that some try to destroy and discredit science because theyd rather believe an old book, our even murder each other over silly religious differences. Quite frankly I think humanity would be better off without religion, you don't need religion to come up with a good moral code.
