Final Round is on Easter Weekend - Need Opinions/Advice plus special event :)

Final Round this year is on the weekend of Easter 2013, yea this is terrible but scheduling conflicts with other grass root majors and NCAA basketball tourney in Atlanta forced the issue So I would like to collect data and advice from you guys on which weekend plans would work best for MK9 at FR

Look at the options above and let me know which best is a recipe for success at FR 2013 because I feel Easter Sunday will cause some major issues for Atlanta and all other players wanting to attend

I wanna turn in awkward situation (easter weekend) into something neat and make the most out of it. I will come up with funny/great and oddball prizes for this and it'll possibly be streamed through iphone 5 or ipad

16 man Pools

Fully dedicated stream for pools and top 8

Last MK Major before injustice drops 2 weeks later

Injustice demo tourney for fun (if applicable)

This year's location is at the airport hotel literally, not 40 min away from airport

I think all Sat is the best idea. That gives people time to travel there which is always important for out of towners.... As well giving time to leave early if need be. Plus if time is really tight you might be able to make a spontaneous agreement with the 8 players to run top 8 on sun morning

I really like the idea of doing it all on saturday if its not too much. I live a little outside ATL and even for me i wouldnt like having to drive there back and again the next day or stay in a hotel in a city i live right by. This will be an awesome major regardless and im not gonna miss it for any reason like i did last year. Looking forward to it.

Ps-I wanna win that 16 bit beard shaving. It will be sweet revenge for putting me in losers at Raleigh.

With those shavings in a few years you can possibly clone him, groom him and raise baby GGA 16 Bit into a X Ttier killing machine and for mk15 sign him up for MLG 2024 and have him defeat his maker in honor of you

I had planned on getting out to Final Round, not sure how realistic it is now seeing as it's on Easter weekend. But I could probably fly out Friday morning and be back home Sunday afternoon-ish. I'm gonna make this work, the MK community deserves to be shown a ton of respect after all we've been through.

I voted for the Friday pools, Saturday top 8 option but the do everything on Saturday option is really good too. Whatever you guys choose I'll be there. ATL is too close and FRXV was way too good not to make it to this one.

I second WayoftheFist. Either Friday or Saturday are good. The Friday pools would hopefully end early to allow for 5v5's and other things to go down.

its a huge issue for me and some others

if top 8 were sunday if i made top 8 i might be a BYE for someone

Pools on Friday and Finish Top 8 on saturday is getting shown the most love

and people mention team battles probably could happen sat after top 8 which is extremely possible

Like Pig said let's make this into a positive. We are going to use the Evo pool system this year and have multiple pools running at the same time so it should be completed in record time!

right now we have MK9 to start and be completed on sat. If we get the same amount of players from last year and we have 16 man pools we could complete mk9 in 5-6 hours tops if people play straight through with no breaks using the evo system. Then after that if you want to run teams that's cool with me.
