yeah but you know how it is .....

Im visiting the psychologist once per week and talk about it ... but it does not help :/ Im starting to think that I got cancerophobia .
Talking with a professional sounds like a really good idea. Good for you to have that foresight.

Yup...every single symptom you mentioned....nothing more, nothing less. I stopped coughing up blood (as well as having it comes out of "other places") when i switched back to non-menthol and stopped eating ibuprofen on a daily basis. From what i gather , Fibromyalgia can be caused by ticks or mosquitoes transmitting Lyme Disease.....and The Gods know I spent enough time in backwater swamps and tick/mosquito infested places
shit... i gave up smoking competely for months n mine didnt (hasnt) stopped..

A good friend of mine also has this. A proper diet, regular exercise (I always recommend yoga) and medication helps with fibromyalgia if I'm not mistaken. It forces you into healthier habits for sure. I feel for you but I'm pretty sure you don't want pity from anyone so I'll just say this:
I admire your bravery for sharing this with us and going through all that.
Welcome to MK, hope you'll enjoy your stay.

Honestly it started a year before he died , I was in hospital ( nothing serious) and I saw all the people there with cancers , talked with them .... After this I got some strange feeling in my chest and my first thought was lungs cancer . And i went to a doctor , got chest x ray and nothing was there . After this all was ok until my dad was diagnosed with cancer and died after 3 months . From this point on I got it , the sad thing is that even if I go to a doctor and its all ok it helps just for a little time . And it starts all over again ;/

I just want to jump in to show support. What you are going through sounds absolutely awful. I'm glad this is a place where people can meet and talk about stuff like this.

Hope you feel better, seems horrible.

Sorry to hear about your dad ABACABB. All I can say is live as healthily as you can and if you do that cancer should not be a fear. If your dad had it and you think it might be genetic, then no point wasting time worrying about it. Just push on brother, best wishes to both of you and hope you keep your proper health.

Hi. I don't mean any disrespect by this, so please don't take it the wrong way, but have you considered that your illness may be psychosomatic? Personally, I've developed severe issues like chronic back pain and intestinal issues that I know were brought about by depression and such. When I dealt with my mental issues, my health improved. There's a school of thought that the mind creates illnesses as a way of distracting you from real issues, like mental illness.
I'm mentioning this because you brought up your depression.
I'm not belittling your pain. I know it's real, but I think you may benefit from speaking to a therapist.
And just to clarify. I'm not saying it's all in your head. But I think it's a possibility.
I wish you the best. Take care.

Thank you for sharing your story man. While I can't personally relate to what you're physically going through, I can commiserate on the mental health front. I operate at a pretty high stress level most of the time and you're absolutely right, it can wreak physical havoc on your body. While I know the symptoms of FM are extremely rough, I'm very happy to see that you are coping and keep your chin up. As we must play the hand with which we are dealt, and you personify that here. It's amazing to see the turn that has happened on this site in the last week. I really love this community and everyone I've 'met' through it. It has changed my life much as it has changed yours, and I'll be forever grateful. As somewhat of a social outcast, it's amazing to have a community where one fits in and truly feels like they belong. And the fact that that people have the trust in this community to share stories like this really warms my heart. It's a great thing to see. Thank you again for sharing man, I love seeing people come together like this. *sappy beef*

I want to share a song with you

My body will be set aflame tonight
Even though my heart will remain
It's cold as ice inside
I feel my fists are buried in the pavement
Helpless to the rotting cancer, sent to ruin my life

I awake to this anxiety,
that every breath, every step might be my last

I feel i'm growing numb
A slight chill to my flesh
like one million knifes
stabbing a hole right through my chest

There is no comfort
My surroundings bleak as night
The angels of death awaiting for me to lock me in their sights

Lifeless I fear the wrath of God
I hear the dead speak through the wall
Remember me, eternal sleep awaits me underground
I will not wait, for you to follow to the other side

Come on!
I feel closer now
To walk with the dead
Every night i fear is the last with you
So please remember what it mean

I feel I'm growing numb
A slight chill to my flesh
like one million knives stabbing a hole right through my chest
There is no comfort
My surroundings bleak as night
The angels of death awaiting for me
to lock me in their sight

I awake to this anxiety, that every breath every step might be my last
Every step might be my last

Lifeless i fear the wrath of God
I hear the dead speak through the wall
Remember me
Eternal sleep awaits me underground

Fibromyalgia affects my family directly. I have seen what it can do to someone and how crippling it can be.

I hope your good days outnumber your bad ones... and rest assured, that when I can, I will whatever I can to help work for and benefit fibro associations.
