Not for nothing, but why are some people acting like
REO cheated in his IN-GAME matches? Sure, he wasn't supposed to enter the tournament at all, but he beat his opponents fair and square. There was no "single elimination." No offense, but instead of complaining over losing to this guy, and crying for a redo, level up so you can actually beat him online--you know, which he hardly even plays--like Madzin did. Abuse the lag. Who gives a fuck. It's online. You knew what you were getting yourself into. Hell, REO did. The minute he saw his opponent pick Reptile, he switched to Mileena, who has both MU and lag advantage, but he still lost.
Mind you, I'd understand wholeheartedly if REO had won the entire tournament, but he didn't. Madzin not only won this tournament, but beat the guy every other top player lost to...twice. If REO went 0-2 or 1-2, nobody would be complaining about a rule being broken, so don't give me that "Rules are rules. We must redo" nonsense. Hell, if this occurred, many of you would be laughing at and mocking him.
I'm sorry if this comes off the wrong way, but I just don't see how it's unfair that people had to play against big bad REO. You'll have to play him at Dallas anyways. It's like everyone expected a big handicap. Well, you didn't get it, but Madzin didn't either, and he won anyways. If anything, HE should be the one to decide whether a redo is necessary or not.
Case in point, this is being blown out of proportion when it's blatantly obvious
Madzin should be compensated OR choose who goes to Dallas in his place. You lost to REO? Well, he didn't. Think he had a lag advantage? Next time, flip up your own lag switch. This is online. It's a noble cause--and one that, as a pseudo-community member, I appreciate--to try to send new blood to offline tournaments by hosting an online one that bans anyone who has made Top 16-8 in majors before, but this is just preparing them for long term disappointment.
Again, I apologize if this seems harsh, but it's just my opinion.
