UMK3 Kombat Zones on XBLA

I'm not sure if it is only me, but the few people online that I have spoken to do not seem to be annoyed about this quite as much as I am. I recently started playing UMK3 on XBLA and immediately noticed that the Kombat Zone is ALWAYS Scorpion's Lair, unless you manually put in the codes. The online play is brilliant but this problem is really disappointing. I find it extremely boring to play on one stage all the time. I guess the best way to go about this is to speak to the person you play against and to then put the codes for different zones in manually - you would have to do versus mode without the rankings being posted for this to be working though as on ranking matches you play someone different all the time.

There is a very good code guide on this site which I think is very helpful. I recently played against WAZZ and it worked well when we discussed which stage we were gonna play on and then input the codes.

This problem has been known since the game was released. It has been reported to the developer/publisher many times by many different people.

It will never be fixed. Ever.

I've found that the easiest way to play on alternate stages in ranked matches is just to go ahead and input your part of the code for the more recognizable codes. Many people will just join you and put in their half.

Here are the top 4 that I've seen people put in, and have had people follow suit when I put in my half of the code.... of course you could sit on the character select screen and tell the other person (whether they have a mic or not) that you are going to put in "so-and-so code.

Thanks for the tip mate. I'm sure you would have discussed this before, but I only recently got the 360, so I'm not aware of any technical info. Have PS3 and MK2 on the PSN works really well - I suppose putting in the codes isn't the end of the world and you get used to it the more you do it as well - so happy coding for me then.

You do realize 666-444 is the default stage for UMK3? I doubt guys would put it in just for kicks, so im pretty sure you mean 666-333.

Yes and No, I meant 444, if I'm player 1 most player 2 people put in 444 because either they are stupid, or because they can still try for a stage fatality after an uppercut knocks them out on the first round, since you go back for round 2. If they put in 444 ahead of me, I always go for the randper.

If I'm player two, I start by doing 444 and offering either randper or scorpion's lair. If they put in 666, I drop it down to 333 because I'm just as sick of scorpion's lair as everyone else.
