Okay, so ive saved up some cold hard cash and would like to buy a umk3 cab, doesnt matter which port or version as long as its working and the arcade stick isnt too shabby. Does anybody know where i can find one that is unwanted? Ive looked up ebay, amazon, searched this site for similar threads and found nothing (if there is one i missed it) So where else can i try my luck? I live in North Texas but have not seen an umk3 cab for years. What are the usual prices for a workin cab? Anything you feel is worth an input, please do tell.

eBay is your best bet, but try www.Craigslist.com as well.

I'll look on eBay later on for ya and post any decent cabs I find, but I am off to go see Hancock.

But more than likely, your gonna have to get it shipped to ya, and that alon will cost a small fortune. Another idea would be to build one, and buy the jamma board, control panel, marqee, side art, etc.

But I'll get back to you late on this.

Not to mention an unlimited supply of lag and delay.

If you have the money, get the cabinet and put it somewhere central so it'll make you some money, and go play whenever you want.

Give "R&L carriers" a try. They will pick the game up from the seller and deliver it to your doorstep for around $350. Maybe less. Far sheaper than a roadtrip.

Thanks Tim and MK3Fan, i will continue to search on ebay for the best price listing and closest location availability. I would rather pick it up with a friends truck so i can have a good up close look at it before i decide to purchase it. I also will try my luck at local hangouts in the Dallas area.

Edit- MK3Fan, if you make more UMK3 cabs, would you consider sellin it?

It's not cost effective when there are so many out there you could buy and restore for much cheaper than what it costs to build one. I spent $2500 building my MK3 cab, but that includes car audio components, new Wells Gardner monitor, computer, and other crap. Good, working cabs are not hard to find, then you could just throw whatever game inside you want. I'll just say this, if someone is willing to pay what it costs, then I would consider building them as a second job.

Yup, most dedicated cabs are gonna be (for MKII, MK3/UMK3 & MK4) in the $1200-$1500 range. Well worth the money, but that is still exspensive.

I paid $600 for mine, not dedicated but its still a Midway cab. But I found it locally and didnt have to pay S&H.
I paid $1400 for my MKII yet only $500 for my MK4 and only $350 for my
MK1. I spent nearly $3000 for my Mame UMK3. The MKII and MK4 were mint. The MK1 needed new control panel art. You just gotta be willing and able to pay what it takes. Don't get suckered though...
