San Antonio, TX: Subway $5 footlong!

Hey guys, A.R.K. IV is coming up September 17th-18th in Jacksonville, AR! We are expecting ~200 people with games such as SSF4:AE, SF 3S:OE, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, Melee, Brawl, BB:CS II, and more! Competitors are coming in from at least 6-7 several states to compete!

Note that our tournament is working on securing sponsorships from well known companies which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. The Traveling Circus has expressed interest as of this time. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.

I'd normally respond to replies on this thread, but I'm so busy with Med School that I don't have time (though I may check in once in a while if there's interest). Please try to make it and show your support not only for us, but for the regional MK community as a whole. Thanks guys!

CAT..... You have played at Gameworx before. Did you feel any lag that made your game differ from usual? Well I believe they have 2 Asus monitors.

Not sure if ill be able to make it to the tournament. Ill keep ya posted Betty.

That Ark tournament doesn't seem so bad at all. Interested in going anybody or we saving for Davestation?

We'd love to see you guys there. Some of the SA Street Fighter guys said they were interested in coming (and an Austin carpool is for sure coming) and I'm almost positive some of the Arkansas MK crew will want to money match you guys if you come. Also, $5 means free beer at the afterparty that night (+ streamed money matches!). Hope you guys come out =]

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I'm coming from Dfw to the tourney in live oak on the 28th. I'll be driving down Sat though. Any recommendations for cheapish hotels in SA, close to some bars and what not. Would love to go drinking with some SA players the night before.

I don't drink before tournaments anymore since evo. But try to ask to find a place to stay instead of a hotel. If I can make it to the tournament i will try and house you at my place. Is it just you or more dallas folk? what about jop and brady?

Updated the rules on the tourney thread:

-Banned pit bottom stage. This is the stage where you are soaked in blood. It looks bad on the stream and it's distracting for the players. No reason to play on it

-If an opponent is color blind, please pick Courtyard (Daytime)

I would prefer to play on the asus monitors. As it's tournament standard :)

Not sure, I'm a realllllllllly new face and work keeps me from going to House of Goons, so Can't speak for them. This is literally my second venture to the offline world. Lookin forward to it! I think BobbyTheGreat (DarthENS) is going though.
