MMs are as close to tournament matches as you can get tbh. If all we play is casuals then it's going to be problamatic when the heat is on and it's win or go home. If you play causals all day with someone the matches start to blend together and get's harder to find a hold on the opponent's playstyle. Causals don't prepare you for tournament games MM is as close as it can get. MM get you into the mindset of doing anything to not lose and make sure you get free money playing video games and if you lose then you just paid to get beat. Don't knock MMs Nori

I'm not gonna play serious for $5. If we are talking 20 and above, sure. I know LOTS of players who only win MMs but can't ever win tournaments. MMs are the second best thing, but it ultimately doesn't always prove who's better, that's my point.

If Brandon wants to MM for $5, whatever, I'll do it but it's kind of hard to get excited over such a small amount of money. If he accepts a first round challenge, then that's something I look forward to

What's up guys. For those of you who haven't added me on xbox my gt is cat713. Ggs with Betty the other day. We need to play some more.
I think I'm going to that tourney at the con on the 25th or whatever. I'm also planning for Evo so need some serious practice. Might head out to sam Antonio soon to have some mm with anyone to hype up the scene.

Reason behind $5 is because i boasted more in mvc3 and ssf4 but you stuck with $5.
I prefer $20. 3 out of 5. I don't see how you think losing in a mm w.e amount doesn't show who the better person is. Its obviously the winner Nori because in a tournament, player A can have an easier bracket than the other person B . Does that mean your better because a person places higher in a tournament? I am sure you understand what I am saying.

Cat found a place for Evo. Some friends of ours have a hotel and so far its 3 of us. It would be $75 for the whole weekend. ill double check if your interested.

Anways. How is the online play for xbox? Are all the patches for psn the same for 360? Update me on this please

Spin: There are lots of times when a player has an easier bracket in a tournament, but overall consistency in a tournaments prove who's better. I just saw a tekken stream today where player A owned player B in a MM but player B bodied player A in a tournament. Tournaments are always what matter, MMs to me are not important

Ok, so in case you missed the stream, it was hype as fuck

First off, 2 out of the top 3 are Reptile players. Tom Brady is undefeated and loses 2-3 vs LB Chris G's Reptile. Tom then picks Sub again, loses. Tom picks Noob, loses (badly). Tom picks Kung Lao, gets destroyed.

1) LB Chris G (Reptile)
2) Tom Brady (Sub Zero, Noob, KL)
3) Arturo Sabin Sanchez (who was bitter as fuck on the stream) (Reptile)


Let's all expect Reptile to be toned down now lol

I didnt really watch the CEO stream for MK9 because it didnt have any patch at all. I mean 2 cyrax players made top 8. Only watched the Rev. but will have to watch it again.

anybody have the link to the gf for Ceo. on a choppy comp.

it wasn't 100% unpatched. It had the first patch on it. I heard Justin Wong lost to the kabal infinite lol

he lost to JT circus twice. who plays Kano. i dont think it had the patch at all. In the first patch after reptiles wins he doesnt continue to hiss constantly. But at that tourney he hissed all the way.

I'm just going by random things I read. Kano is very anti KL, so that does make sense. And it further proves that KL is overrated and all people needed to learn was how to fight him. A KL player didn't even crack top 10. Not at this tourney and not at Revelations. It's like I said in the beginning, KL is the cheapest char, not nearly the best char. People are now learning how to fight him, good:)

It also showed that in a 162 man tourney, 2 Reptiles were in the top 3 and a SZ also. SZ is indeed top 3, no question about it but maybe need just got the blueprint on the matchup and it seems a lot more even then people think.

yeah it was weird how both tourneys were running different versions of the game,

Both were on PS3.
ReveLAtions setups were Fully patched, with the patch that just came out Friday, im not sure if they patched it again with the hotfix that came after.

@spin, apparently reptile doesnt CHOMP CHOMP HISS if he does his winpose while invisible

CEO was patched, but not with this newest version

it made me laugh seeing Kabal vs Kabal in Revelations GF. I remember Brady saying Michaelangelo and Onlinetony werent gonna be worth shit once Kabals dash got fixed. but that goddamn Knee reset is good. wish i could remember who else was played.

The block infinite from Kabal didn't really scare me as much as the knee forces you to ground in hit from air does. That move causes so many headaches. I stop caring what Tom Brady says anymore cause all the shit talk he does.

He may be cocky, but you can't deny what he's done for the community. He's pretty much put the franchise on his back and has done TREMENDOUS work w/NRS to make sure we have a good game. He's put in countless hours making very informative guides (the Nightwolf guide helped me out quite a lot and the Shang one) and I'm sure many other players have benefited from it. Obviously, everything he says isn't going to be right. He insists SZ is the best in the game, and many people disagree. Yet, he's proven to be right a lot more than he's been proven wrong.

Xbox has not release tue patch so it's still garbage. I think it's stupid that we have to wait for the update. I really want to try some of the characters affected.
Where is the hotel at? Is it the one where evo will be at?

Well, I really don't get it. You have a couple of top players arguing w/team sp00ky about what NRS can/can't do. I'm not saying it to be funny, I'm saying I literally don't get the point of the post
