A separate congrats to REO for taking that "TOP 3 At every Tourney" streak this far... I wonder what the count was to be honest, to always make Top 3 at every single tourney you've ever attended in every version of MK is beyond untouchable.

I just got back from a festival and literally just saw the results of MLG and ECT, quite a few upsets from what I gather.

Having said all that, congrats to Detroit and very much well-deserved. Amazing play. Also congrats to DJT for an amazing performance. If he had pulled it off with Sub, holy crap... lol... Congrats to all the competitors for putting on an amazing show.

Side note, Holy Shit just saw Pl vs CDjr and Pl's lao looks very impressive. Can't wait to watch the rest of this.

I do not agree with @tombrady calling these playes the best of the world.. even though they are awesome players and very competitive, they have not measure themselves with "the rest of the world" yet. Perhaps they will probe me wrong, but untill i dont see it, i will not agree with such comentaries. I really hope that @Tombrady is not making the most common mistake of calling the USA "the world".

besides that, the tournament was great, very entertaining and fun to watch, congrats to the champion.
USA is finally getting some wellused kunglao.

That was the best MK9 tournament I've ever watched, even though I wish Detroit hadn't used Kabal. Congrats to everyone with special props to

- Perfect Legend... incredible comeback performance; mindblowing Raiden play. PL may be the Raiden?

- Scar... keep up that sick Scarlet. So fucking entertaining to watch.

- 16 "zoning is out, and that means I'm out" Bit... so much leveling up. Shame the KTP is over now and you won't get to talk about it!

- DJT... that fucking Sub Zero play floored me. Wish he'd stuck with SZ 100%. The xray cancel into grab made me yell HOLY SHIT so loud that my startled girlfriend dropped her beer.

Adam from MLG did say they were going to do more MLG NYC Arenas so one has to think (or hope) this Top 8 will get invited to NYC for another Arena... That will be amazing.

these players are some of the "best in the world" hands down. You really can't doubt that at all, especially with how tough U.S.A tournaments are. MLG anaheim blew every other mk9 tournament away when it came down to just pure tough competition and major hype.
