Faster than 75% of Finland, so the internet's about the same as the US over there then I'm assuming lol. I kind of want to move to Sweden one day (since I don't know a word of any foreign language and that'd be easier to transition to). I'd presume that it's roughly the same speeds since Finland is a neighboring country.

Right......except not. Wifi's standard transfer speed now a days is 54 mb/s iirc. So unless your internet connection is faster than this, there is no difference in speed. Any reduction in actual speed would be due to other factors not a wireless connection itself. Food for thought.

I think what he's trying to state is that wifi isn't as stable, which it isn't, but yeah outside of 54mbs it's fine. I surf on wifi but I use wired to play games due to the instability at times. Depends where you live too, obviously, less outside interferences the better - but I live in an apartment complex so there's a lot of interference throughout the day. Probably a bunch of jerks trying to steal my connection to look at obscure pornography too!

So when I play someone using wifi and running nothing else except PC/PS3 and play that same person after requesting he hardwires it, that massive improvement in connection that I feel must not even exist. It's not real and I didn't see, feel, and notice it myself. Is that what you are implying?

Don't believe everything you hear. Wireless on Mame is absolutely unplayable, but a MASSIVE difference in connection improves when the connection is wired. That's a fact,.... you can argue with it all you want....but I have my own 2 eyes, thank you.

You can lock people out....that's what I did, it prevents anyone from leeching off you. I forget how it's done, but it's a setting in your router done through the PC.

I'm just saying it's not wifi itself. I'm not saying it doesn't have a difference, but it's due to external factors. Interference being the biggest. 2.4ghz is used by a lot of stuff.Trust the I.T. guy brother. ;)

because internet sarcasm works so well. I'm glad you think I have mental issues. Wanna find any other deficiency with me? Its like having a shrink, but not having to pay for one. Long story short: I have a really bad internet connection and there's absolutely NOTHING I can do to change it save for moving, which, unless someone else is going to pay for, isn't going to happen.
