The Avengers Discussion Thread (No Spoilers)

I cannot wait, I've really had my doubts. From the very first teaser, I thought it looked pretty bad. Captain American/Thor rub me the wrong way, their costumes I'm not a big fan off.

But, lately, I've been giving it a second chance, and it looks good. Critics/early screening fan reviews are praising it, and said it lives up to the hype and more. Also, possibly the best Marvel and the best Superhero film to date.

I'm stoked.

What are your thoughts, are you excited?

Shamed to say that I have seen only 2 of the Avengers' movies. With those being Hulk and Iron Man 1. I have always wanted to watch the others but every time I asked someone what they thought of Captain America and Thor they said it was "just okay." the movie looks pretty epic though.

Sadly, you don't need to watch them to understand the whole plot. I loved Thor, just the Costume seemed a little underwhelming and toyish.

Loved the movie saw it in IMAX 3D fucking great movie can't wait for part 2.
Only negative was captain america wasn't shirtless in it.

lol, Aquaman from Smallville was actually pretty badass.

But yeah, hey I'd be down with that. Personally, I'd want to see the 7 founding members Superman, Batman, WW, Flash, GL, MMH and Hawkman. With some smaller cameos from some other members since there's a TON of JLA, JSA members.

I'm not a huge DC fan but I think Wonder Woman, Flash, The green lantern, and aquaman just aren't meant to be live action.

WW and Flash did have a show way back(that did alright) WW did better. GL wasn't the best, but hey I'd watch it over the Hulk anyday(especially that 03 one, yuck)

At some point though they have to put out a Superman/Batman movie, there's tons of arches with them working together, it would be awesome if done by the right people.
