So this Sunday they are haviing a tournament at Cafe Alma in St. Pete starting around 4 pm. Now, there's no MK9 tourney but I think this would be a good place to at least have casuals in. And if there's enough people we can convince them to throw a tourney for us!

I really need to keep a better eye on this thread. I've just been so focused on preparing for the MLG Raleigh tourny and EVO.

Once EVO is over I'm going to travel around to some other FL tournies and definitely start hosting some tri-weeklies or monthlies at UCF too.

EDIT: well i found out why Jax is so high right now. Crazy Dominican found a block stun infinite for Jax's 12GG combo. kinda interesting.

EDIT: well i found out why Jax is so high right now. Crazy Dominican found a block stun infinite for Jax's 12GG combo. kinda interesting.

Yeah, his 12GG is super fast, the only thing with it tho, is you duck and the GG will wiff completely Jax can pretty much eat a full combo. I think Jax is extremely underrated, and has a lot of mind games going for him. If played smart and patient, Jax can be nasty, especailly now that he can cancel his Ground Pound. However, I dont feel like he's quite S+ tier...of course its kinda hypocritical of me to say that cuz I'm not a big fan of tier lists. I feel that a character should be judge at how well a player plays him/her, not how the character themselves play....that is until SSF4:AE came out with those broken twins. (*&^ that game, hahahah =P

I'm kinda interested in attending, bearing the long drive in mind... any idea how many players are coming? I could bring my 360, if that's any use... which means we'd need another TV.

There's also some stuff happening in Orlando this weekend, so I'll weigh my options.

Cool, but just an FYI most players in Tampa (if not all) play on ps3 so I'm not sure if a 360 is necessary. I'm trying to get all the tampa players to cone out!

Hey guys, I just remembered that there is a video game lounge near me called "The D-Pad". http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-D-Pad/11104739406?sk=info

I haven't been there in awhile, but I know that they're still in business. I'm pretty sure that it's still located in Palm Harbor, but I'll give them a call sometime to know their exact location. They have plenty of TVs (mostly average sized tube TVs, with a few HD ones.), Xbox 360s, and PS3s. We might be able to have casuals here, if you guys are up for it.
