How late is he running casuals Jose? I'll be at work til midnight so if he's running shit I'll swing by. If not, we gotta set a date to hit up Flippers and just grind out MK.

I'm looking at a few capture cards now, hopefully within a few paychecks I can get some decent equipment.

Yeah, Bio and I$aac, i'll be down for some tampa/pinellas games as well. Lemme know what you guys are up to when you (isaac) get back in town and when you (bio) are available. We should definitely set something up

Sup everyone.

Kinda late, but it was nice meeting the few people I did at CEO. I was the white guy, spikey hair, in a bright yellow shirt playing Kung Lao in pool #2. Got 3rd in the pool (would have been first if not for negative edge >.< Silly game). Good stuff to everyone at the tourney. Where are gatherings typically held in the central FL area? I'm assuming Orlando, but is there a public place like a store / shop or is it just someone's house?

I live out in Melbourne and will gladly have people over to play anything though I realize it's a few minutes outside of Orlando. Someone let me know where to go to play!

Ggs to all that I played on psn, but I think I won't be playing online that much anymore. The netcode is still ass so I won't be able to hit half of the shit that I want to do. Oh yeah and apparently online if you main Kano you are the scourge of the earth as attested to the 20 hatemails I've received in the past 15 minutes. So yeah unless it's someone from fl and has a good connection I'm done with online.

Lol funny you say that, I was just about to mention that. Gotta love Will, he really puts a helluva effort to organize stuff. Hope to see u guys there!

Good games. Sucks we were only able to get in like 2 or 3 since we kept getting desyncronized, which was really annoying. I figured the connection would be pretty good considering we're both in FL, but I guess not. This is why I put down a lot of fighting games, is cuz its really hard to find people in this area who play them. This is the biggest community i've been able to find which is awesome. So maybe we can get some offline casuals going soon so I can redeem myself after the beating i took =) And i wouldnt take the hate mail thing to seriously. In fact, i would look at it as a compliment. Its not your fault youre so much better than the people that dont know how to play.

here's my thoughts in Skarlet/Hotfix aka operation nerf Kano

Skarlet is indeed a rushdown/vortex machine. Her BnB's are 35% or above with some ending in 112 xx Blood dash vortex for mixups. But is good as she is offensively she is quite lacking on the defensive side. She doesn't have a wakeup move that scares anyone and get's rushed down pretty easy. A character like say Smoke pretty much blows her shit up. I'd put her at most A tier.


Kano has a couple of nerfs. One is to his upball which has slightly more startup and can be pushinsed by fast jab atacks. His knife also has a frame or so more of recovery. Knife is still fast and even with all these changes Kano is stil a strong character and I still have him on S Tier.

She is definitely fun to use.

What's up with the game desynchronization lately? To me it seems to be more prevalent now after the patch then it was before. Not that I care too much, at least the online is actually decent but the desync stuff is kind of a nuisance after a while.

It happens a lot more often on PSN than Xbox Live that's for sure. I heard that it has something to do with the Klassic Costumes that came out, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

As for Skarlet I agree, she's a fun character to use that's for sure, but she looks like she has problems in her wakeup game. Plus many of her specials are very punishablee on block. Looks like we'll have to wait a while to see how people use her in a tournament tho since she's banned at EVO :/
