Rochester monthly tournaments? Attention to all Atlantic north players!

I've been thinking about having a monthly tournament that is similar to the EGP ones they have. Its going to be in Rochester, New york which is about an hour away from Buffalo. We don't have many players here in Rochester besides myself DanCock and @shrugglife but we are encouraging people from canada and maybe even NYC to come to Rochester once a month and compete. We aren't going to start unless we get confirmation of players that are willing to come. I don't have this fully thought out yet I'm still debating about having it. If anybody is willing to make this possible just quote me, the more the better.

Necessities:

• Streamer (optional)
• ASUS monitor
• ps3s/Xbox consoles depending on what the majority of people want it on (the lan center provides systems so we would only need a few)
• MKKE/ Consoles that have all DLC and patch updates
• Players to participate!

We would like to welcome people from NYC, Toronto, and pennsylvania. ANYBODY is welcomed but I'm encouraging people from these areas to come by and compete. It will once a month, $20 to enter and I'm still not quiet sure of the payout. There IS venue fee but you can sign up for a membership. I don't wanna confirm it completely yet but if people are willing to come I'll make it happen.
Death k-frog - I know your connected to the canadian scene so if you can hit me up and see if you can get people willing to come
Mikemetroid - Try to convince some pennsylvanians to come up to rochester
CD jr - Get VSM to come here, maybe you guys can get a bus to come out here for the day

Like I said I'm NOT confirmed for this yet unless we can get participants. If anybody wants any further details just let me know.

I may be interested in this when I come back to Canada for a short while. It will be cool to build a scene around the Canadian border. I live 1 hr 30 mins from Buffalo so it looks like the drive will be around 2 hours 30 minutes. I'd be willing to drive weekly or every other week to get games in.

Yeah that would be cool, Ill be having weekly offline casuals but monthly tournaments

Yeah man totally, If I able to get most of NYC toronto monrteal and parts of penn state, we will have ALOT of people well over 50 for just monthly tournaments

In addition, I can provide alternate venues in Buffalo if they are needed, including a local game store (Play N Trade) with at least 5 TVs and systems. I could also reserve a bigger space at the university for a larger tournament (though it wouldn't come with setups). Both of these would be venue-fee free.

this will definitely be kool to do once a month.. im sure we could think of something in rochester. but the buffalo idea is probably a good place to do it.. its closer to canada, ohio and penn..

I live in albany currently but I'll be going to RIT in the fall.
I really hope the scene can make it that long, can't wait to lay the smackdown on curbo . Haha curb you need to hit me up for more online matches, we only played that one time!

If you guys want to have this in Buffalo, we can start planning things any time. If you can get me a couple of dates that would work well for as many of the people as possible, then I can see what spaces are available at the university. I'll also see what the school can provide us in terms of equipment, including speakers, microphones, projectors, and what-have-you.
Also, I can help with the running the tournament and whatnot if it is needed , since I'll need to be there the whole time anyway and I have experience running tournaments for other games here at school. I can also provide a meager stream using the capture card in my PC.
Just keep me up to date on what is going on and I will provide whatever services I can!
