Any situation involving a Net + Teleport + Mid Bomb + 22.

Goddamn does this thing come in handy and save my ass at the most opportune times..

Not as universally useful as it was before the days before Armor came to town, but still.
The most underappreciated and under-bitched-about of all the resets.

Here's to you, beautiful.

While we're on the subject, anyone have any good tools to reapproach/redesign this trap?
I know my man J360 brought up the 21 Trap not too long ago, so I imagine there must be some more inventive takes out there on this old classic.

I have another ghetto reset. Do this one its awesome.

jip 21 net, jip b2, njp f2 close bomb. (21 saw) or for jumpers (21net), then (njp b2 121 rag) or (njp, b2, 21,121 net if near corner) etc

Sometimes people catch on and try to wake up attack but i usually blow them up by baiting it when i see that they caught on.

The way this works is the fact that the f2 makes them fall super fast and your at about a frame or 2 of advantage

F2, you say? Hmm...I always forget that thing can link, I've underutilized it.

Ghetto resets are so......AWESOME. I'm going to practice these when i get the chance. One of the funnier ghetto(mostly accidental) resets is when you do the ex.bomb, med. bomb, 123~close bomb reset, you drop(accidentally) the combo right before 123, and if they get up stand blocking, they get pushed into the med.bomb and into another combo =]

This kinda goes along with J360's reset, but instead of the buzzsaw, do the full 212.

Net, teleport, mid-bomb, 2, 1, 2.

The bomb in the last "2" explodes before the mid-bomb does, making not only a big and awesome double explosion, but it pops them right up in front of you and you can follow up with whatever you want

There Lethal Legend, I finally put that shit up

EDIT: DAMN IT! Alice beat me to it XD

I have a few ghetto resets I use. Net, m.Bomb, 22 as mentioned already, B2 just as a Net breaks. and this cute lil number I've landed a handful of times and it's hilarious.
jp 21xxNet, AA Throw (whiff), xjp, 21xxEN Bomb, dashxxm.Bomb, 123xxc.Bomb, Net, njP, B2, dash, 21xxNet ... Command Grab, [on block] F+2, 121xxReverse Kick, Throw [40% + 26% + 13% + 9% chip + 12% = 100%]

While that whole thing isnt really viable. But, I think pieces of it are. 21xxNet after a reset can set up some awesome ghettos reset opportunities. I've used Command Throw into F2, 121xxReverse Kick to chip people out several times. And I will use D1xxReverse Kick a few times in a row and then Throw after it. You'd be surprised how often it hits.

But yeah ... about as ghetto as it gets.

Nice post Chad. Reminded me of Cyrax's old tools that I began to under-utilize. I like that ghetto "vortex" off of a net-ending combo with the B2. I've abandoned the yellow robot recently and tried doing a bunch of Kabal things. Kabal is so broke and S++ tier that it destroyed a bunch of my Cyrax skills....no joke; my timing on my Cyrax resets went to crap. A little advice for amateur Cyrax players looking for a secondary....don't pick Kabal =]

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've been working with a friend on some ... interesting approaches to Mileena. So, I've been devoting a LOT of time to her. Finding what works and, more importantly, what doesn't. So, good ole Rax hit the back burner a bit.

It's funny. I feel like if I'm not completely devoted to him, I start losing aspects of my gameplay. My pressure game has gone to hell recently, so working on getting that back. And these "ghetto resets" are a good Ace-in-the-Hole in my opinion. Sometimes, the best option is really the shitty, unexpected one. Lol. Only problem with these is that they really only work once. Even so, they can be amazing tools to throw in for mix-up once you've trained an opponent.

duuuuuude... I got this a few times by accident after doing d1~ragdoll because I pressed 1+3! it actually does work and people get pissed!

i gave up on doing it intentionally once I got d1~saw down tho

Yeah man these ghetto resets are not as easy to abuse like the rest of Cyrax's dirty crap; which I love. They are very good mix-ups however, when you're trying to make a come back and steal a round. These ghetto resets have brought me so much hate mail on xbox live. If you're storming a come back with command grabs and reset combos, you can put enough pressure on the opponent and they tend to forget how to escape these traps and end up losing up to 90% of their health; while all they probably had to do was grab or uppercut me....This makes Cyrax really one of the "king of lulz"
