Is Freddy Krueger a Top 5 Character?

Freddy is definitely a very good character, but you can't honestly think that he's better than any of Kabal, Sonya, Johhny Cage, Kenshi, or Smoke

The only characters I see as flat out clearly better are Kabal, Sonya and Kenshi.

The reason why I think Sonya beats Sektor badly is because she can out footsie him and bait out his moves such as ITU and she gets a free mixup with 5+ options on a block EX tele. Her armor cartwheel is obviously good vs Missiles and Flamethrower. Sonya can armor or uppercut Sektor out of his strings. Whiff punish the F+2. Its def a footsie game and I think Sonya out footsies Sektor 4 sure. Sonya gets a free D+4~MSF+1 whenever a flame thrower is blocked. Sektor 6 frame jab is good vs Sonya block strings so Sonya has got to watch out for that. I just cant see Sektor beating sonya. Maybe if Sonya is just jumping around and being predictable with throwing rings I can see Sektor winning. But if each character know the MU i think Sonya beats Sektor pretty convincingly. Not to mention Sonya can take 50% of Sektors life on a blocked ITU. Sonya can bait that with a standing 2. All risk for Sektor.

B1, Up missiles, max range flame thrower are all way better footsie moves than Sonyas D4, thats basically what it comes down to, she has to use D4 because all her strings are so easy to punish with Sektor, 5-5.

I could get on that, I think.
But which one? I'm inclined to say Sektor because I don't believe in all that Cyrax hoopla but I still get caught in it so...

Interesting, I might just pick up Sektor to deal with Sonya. She is such a bitch for Raiden.

I'm not sure, but Maxter uses both and claims Sektor is better overall.
