I hatelove this game
I honestly think skarle is better over all but Sonya is a bit simpler to use allowing higher level of play more quickly.

Why d'you say that? I think Sonya is a better character. Skarlet is pretty dangerous no doubt but Sonya has so few bad match-ups which swings it in her favour imo.

Sonya isnt too easy to use but i agree that skarlet is definitely harder. Skarlet has the factor of ambiguity on her side in that many people dont know how to fight her. When i was playing you i was really having to pick things up on the fly and adapt. Skarlet is definitely good but overall i think sonya just has way too much.

Once people start using skarlet, people will start to learn how to go about fighting her like people have done with Kung Lao, so I don't think you can really count her ambiguity as a factor.

That said... combos into resets for days, armor out the ass, cancelable projectiles... she's gonna be a bitch that's for sure. Wait a sec... why did I vote for Sonya? :confused:

I think the execution level is what lured me into voting Sonya. Your skarlet looked pretty sick Fly, glad you played Nightwolf vs me! lol Surprised I took a round off you in each match... it was a good fight. Next time though, I'm winning! ... Vengeance will be mine! er... wrong line. :p

Skarlet is very tricky to fight against even AFTER you play against her for a while. Skarlet also has the luxury of being able to get in really well and generate a lot of damage.

Sonya is the best female character in the game. Besides, I think Skarlet is overrated. She received too many nerfs.

I'm on Skarlet Favor i main her for a reason lol.

I know people will vote more for sonya, but our Skarlet Representative has a free pass protocol to unleash the cracken on EVO.

There is no definite Skarlet MU chart yet so no one knows. I think Skarlet can place top 8...we'll just have to wait until EVO to find out.

I wish I could go to tourneys. :(

Sonya is and I'll tell you why. Skarlet cant zone for shit. She will always lose a trade cuz her projectiles does chip on hit while other characters will get their 8-9% damage. Her armor such as ex red dash is nothing more than a parlor trick. Theres no need to ever block low. Everything she does off armored red dash is negative and can be comboed. Same goes for her teleport. You can fuzzy guard her slide and get a free throw attempt or free block strings going.

Everything Sonya does is safe. She has good damage a good projectile. Can dive kick pokes and whiff punish with a dive kick for 40% ending in a MS reset. Everytime she touches you she mixes you up. On block strings she can bait armor by blocking and punishing with 45%. Her D4 MSF1 is probably the best move in the game as well. Her EX cartwheel blows up a lot of shit as well. Skarlet isn't in the same league as Sonya. Once people know how to fight Skarlet she wouldnt be tough to fight. Sonya is always a bitch to fight even if you know how to fight the character completely.

Skarlet isnt bad. Shes def tourny viable but shes just not in the same league as Sonya imo.

Wow so much Skarlet misinformation.



I guarantee 100% that the community will be in for a rude awakening once people start getting Skarlet down. I think that she is easily one of the best characters in the game, but she's difficult enough that people aren't at 100% with her yet.

It has to be Sonya, once people figure out Skarlett she will be mid tier at best most likely. Skarlett is legit though.

I hope that before this turns into an all out shit-show of Skarlet vs Sonya that we can just wait until we see what I can do at Evo. It'll be a great chance to really test her against the top players in the world, as well as play against many who I've only played online.

Anyone who's played me online hasn't really played against my Skarlet. Some characters get advantage due to lag, others get disadvantage - Skarlet is in the major disadvantage column, whereas characters like Cage, Sonya, Kung Lao are in the advantage column. I feel like that's a fair statement - if I'm horribly incorrect, please let me know, but that's what I've seen.
