As much as I love our character, I do crack a bit of a smile when I see these "pocket kenshis" get obliterated. Did you see Insuperable vs Cd Jr? Quan vs Kenshi. That shit made my fucking year.

CDjr using solely jax is a good thing because jax is black, and that makes him god like, and CDjr is as much to jax as Tyrant but if he manages to beat curbo with jax that doesn't prove > Tyrant. For him to prove that he would have to beat Curbo with jax at the last MLG.

Tyrants the best jax though.

Theres 2 pools and we play 3 matches. The top 2 players from each pool move on.

I agree with you. I do think MU charts exist in this game.....but mostly its the players. In most tournaments you play a best of 3 (not a 10 game set like MU charts).
Thus a 6-4 is statistically insignificant from a 5-5 when playing a Ft2. Too much variability via players skill levels/play style/adaptation ability etc... Good fundamentals is probably a better correlate of player success in tournaments than is their characters tier.

IMO, well timed armor, footsies and spacing combined with character MU experience, is all one needs to make a character tournament viable. It is mostly in the players hands to do well. With that said, I think all 8 of these guys can definitely do that, which will make this really great to watch! (They also all play top characters )

I realise in most of these forums that anytime there is an issue concernign CD Jr and Jax, Tyrant's name seems to come up. In as much as they are both Jax players I don't think we should be going round comparing them. If Curbo looses against CD Jr, I don't think it necessarily means that CD's Jax is better than Tyrant's, it just goes to show you that styles of play are really important in the MK game and as such one must modify his play depending on who they are facing. I believe Tyrant is a more rushdown type of player whiles CD Jr is more on the tactical side (wait for your opportunity and punish).

I however feel that should both of them face off (Jax mirror) it could go either ways 'cos both could turn the match in their favour based on their respective strengths. For example, Tyrant could mix up so much CD Jr would be caught time and time again, whiles Tyrant could push too hard and get punished time and time again by a very patient CD Jr. Tyrant can be careless sometimes and that's how come he lost against Curbo though the later played really well and on point. Imagine doing a fake out ground pound in-front of Cage. CD Jr would only do this occasionally but Tyrant was throwing it out like Johnny Cage hasn't got one of the best uppercuts in the game as well as good wake-ups.

Why are we all not calling this? Are we scared of loosing the trust of one of the two players or feeling they'll think we believe less in their ability? I know Tyrant has friends who think he will loose to Junior whiles Junior has friends who think he will loose to Tyrant but will never say it. Personally, I think Tyrants rushdown game could give him a quick victory and at the same time CD Junior could take it easy by switching up between pressure and tactical play.

We need a Jax mirror between the 2 best Jax players in the United States. Bring it!!!
