Thanks for the props everyone, i hadn't post earlier i was on bed all this time, i hadn't slept for over 30 hours.
this was a great tournament and a great experience, mortal kombat had the respect it deserved on this tournament and it was very well organized.
Thanks to all those who attended and thanks to blackula, nordicninja and all those who organized this great tournament, sorry we got there so late i had problems renting the vehicle i didn't have all my papers in order but i struggled very hard to attend to this and to take the other guys with me, but it was worthy and i felt i had to.
To all those who said the outcome of this tournament was staged you must watch the videos of the matches and see if it was, i struggled very hard to get the first place.
after beating reo's kabal 2 matches on winner's finals then his sonya very convincingly he decided to use kenshi on grand finals, he beat me 2 to 3 i believe and reseted the brackets i should have kept using sektor but went to noob saibot and cyrax and lost 2 straight matches, i usually do pretty good with this 2 chars against kenshi but was a little rusty with noob saibot and reo knows very well how to fight my cyrax.
After beating reo's kenshi 2 straight matches with sektor on the last set he didn't feel he should keep kenshi and didn't find a good character to beat me with and he decided going random which i didn't like i felt he lost hope, i asked him after it was over why he did that and he told me he didnt know who to use against my sektor after losing with his best chars on this match, i hope the videos get uploaded and you see these matches so you see nothing was staged we will never do something like this.
We had decided to split the money whoever of us wins and also I split part of it with scoot magee and insuperable even tho they didn't make top 3, cd jr said if he won he would have given me the flight ticket to evo since he will be flown there and reo wanted to win so he made riu48 and i fight for the ticket on a first to 5 which i found exciting, this was the only arrangements we made, not stage fights and decide who will win that would look very obvious on streams and will be a shame for the players, we all gave our best.
Just in case none of us made it, i had some saved money i was gonna use to get to evo, didnt really want to spend money going there but a lot of friends and people from this community want me to go .
Iknow i won 4800 from mlg but we havent got those checks yet, it takes like a month and anyway that money will be used on my school loans which almost tripled that amount.
Our main goal going to flawless victory wasn't any prices really, our main goal was support the scene and we made our best to get there because of jamie AKA "blackula" much respect to him. He has always done so much for this community and thanks to him the new york team could make it to final round and hype it up for everyone on that 5v5. Final round was another tournament we went to, to support the scene and our main goal was the 5v5 nothing else, gratz to Reo on taking that tourney.
Please stop talking about fights being staged, same happened at mlg people saying the same thing, this is not the WWE.
