It was, but I don't know why people hold it in such high regard, it's not one of his best works. Even as a heist movie, it sucks. I'd rather watch Snatch for instance. Everything but that one film I really enjoy, hell I even enjoy the hell out of From Dusk Til Dawn, that's always going to be my favorite movie with Clooney.
The problem with "Dogs" is the same as, say, a "Usual Suspects" kind of movie.
Yes, exactly! People rave about Usual Suspects too and that's another movie that baffles me as to why it has a cult following. Another movie I really feel is overblown (and this is probably going to piss people off) is....

Ya, I feel the same way about this particular one. Btw, Snatch and Lock Stock are two of my fav films of all time! Actually, when I think about it, a lot of films I like are from the EU, Trainspotting being my number #1 fav of all time.
Snatch is the only movie I actually like Jason Statham in, everything else...ugh. He's played the same role in every single movie since then, except he's become worse and worse of an actor. He's become the UK's Vin Diesel essentially. Snatch and Fight Club have to be my favorite movies with Brad Pitt though. I think I'm gonna watch Snatch, it's been a while! Lock Stock is a great one as well though, Trainspotting's a good film too but the dead baby really made me never want to watch it again, one of those few movies that got to me...hate that scene. Really gritty and nasty.
Requiem for a Dream? I think Aaronofsky needs a nod.
