All right, so on the odd chance that someone other than lBane or Carefoot actually reads this thread in Vancouver (lulz) We'll be meeting tonight at Magic Stronghold for some MK action along with other fighting games.

Good stuff, where you comin from? it's pretty close to Skytrain if that helps. There were 3 or 4 others at the venue who played MK casually in addition to Carefoot, lBane and myself. If we can round up at least 8, I'll be impressed, lol.

You should definitely try to come out tho. We play on PS3 and 360 so try to bring a controller for both.

That's fine then, we'll have setups for both, and there's sometimes spare sticks & pads around. It's not far from the Metrotown area if you're familiar with where that is, call the venue or PM one of us if you want a phone number for directions.

Depending on the night and how many people are around, you can sometimes get away with no charge, but it's generally $2 to $5 for a drop in, or they do a monthly pass thing as well for $10. They start up at around 5:30 to 6:00 and always runs till at least midnight, if not later.

Last week, we had a mini tournament. It wasn't too serious since there were only 5 or 6 of us for MK and no money on the line, but good fun. I'm ok to just get some casual matches in or do another tourney if there's interest, but either way you get some match experience. If we have multiple setups, we can prolly rotate every few matches.

We're all there to level up man, all skill levels welcome. Yeah, I can't play online for shit either, it feels nice to not have to lead your moves by that extra second or two. Makes a big difference.

I'll be bringing a 360 setup this week, as there seemed to be more than just a few people interested in playing last time. Will also have a PS3 controller in case we play on that as well.

See y'all on Wednesday around 6'ish. It's all about dat Hello Kitty webcam.

Count me in every week. Iv been looking for the vancouver MK scene for a while now and I need some live match experience.
im a decent mk9 player so if you guys are doing casuals im done any old time.

hey if you guys need some extra gear ( PS3, Controlers, Cables) I could lend you guys. I just want to play

Sounds good man, come out on Wednesday. It starts around 6pm or so. Just PM one of us if you want a cell number for directions or to co-ordinate.

Definitely bring controllers, not sure about additional consoles yet. We'll probably have at least 2 MK setups, we can add more later if need be.

It's not that hard to find brah. Look it up on Google Maps, it's close to Metrotown and East Van is not that far off either to be honest. We can probably pick you up from the Royal Oak Skytrain station if you want. It's literally 1 minute from the place anyways. If it's not feasible for you to come around 6, you can always come later, once traffic dies down. The place runs till midnight or even later most of the time.

I really don't know if there's much outside of the few players on this forum in the 604 area right now for MK. By all means, if you find another venue that can host this sort of thing, let us know. Stronghold is pretty established though....

Well, there's really only a few of us serious about the game, but I am definitely thinking about making the drive down to Seattle. I hope MLG Anaheim doesn't affect the turnout for NWM though.

Hey all of us in the Northwest wish you guys can come down for NWM4. For our monthly tournaments, the Salty Runback, we have guys 2.5-3 hours away in Eastern Washington traveling to compete so we would love it if the BC crew came down. It'd be nice to see MK Canada guys come down alongside the other Canadian players like Air and Christian especially since our kommunity(the entire MK kommunity) is smaller than the Capcom community.
