Resident Evil: ORC Reviews

I don't have a lot of faith in reviewers like IGN, but anyone here recommend getting it? Looks cool, looks fun, and I won't get super into it so I don't care about Mass Effect or Mortal Kombat quality. I am really enjoying Ninja Gaiden, but spring break is next week and I have a spare 60 bucks.

Its like a mediocre game. The company that made the game (not capcom) Slant Six are the same people who made SOCOM I believe. Its just a mediocre TPS with Resident Evil elements. I wanted to get the game originally but I knew the chance of it being a good game was low.

Also don't get Ninja Gaiden. Fucking Hayashi destroyed that series single handily. The game got dumb down heavily. Here is an example.

Also the metacritic scores both from reviews and users. The Ninja Gaiden on the PS vita was almost a sure tell sign that the series is in full force decline.

SO NG3 is that bad as they say ?

NG3 is bad if you hate the fact that you can't spam UT's anymore to clear the harder difficulties. The one question I have about NG3 is why the extra weapons weren't int he game int he first place but instead will be free DLC sometime later.

Dude, they gave MW2 and MW3 9.5s. That right there is a warning sign.

And I am enjoying NG3 atm, I am having a lot of fun. I'd give it a 7.5, maybe an 8. I just wish it was a lot harder.

But thats the thing, NG3 isn't a challenge. Watch the boss fight at 42:00. The trex at times literally just trips over nothing and fall down for you to hit him.

Slant Six made Socom Confrontation

Zipper made Socom 1-3 and then 4 after Confrontation.

I'm curious to see what you thought. My wife got it for me yesterday as a late bday gift. I was really looking forward to this game actually.

Its really disappointing to me though. Ya, it says resident evil and uses the same terms found in the game, but its just a poorly done 3rd person shooter. Even the campaign mode is geared toward MP.

The controls were horrible. Picking the assault class, you just walk slowly, all the time. Everything you need to fight moves faster than you. Even at max sensitivity, the camera rotates too slowly. You run out of ammo quickly, but there's always something near by that instantly refills it. And you can go back as much as you'd like.

And the graphics suck, even at 720p. Its going back today, being exchanged for Silent Hill.

Usually their reviews are good. For example this review was spot on, the game is just awful. IGN was paid off by activision for MW2, that much is damn obvious.

I'm a fanboy so my opinion really can't matter too much but i like what they've done with this resident evil. The only thing I don't like is how easy it is to get ammo, but when it takes 40 shots to kill people you run out fast lol.

Glad someone else thought the same thing. Good controls can make or break a game, and this games controls were pure shit.

My wife got screwed by LameStop though; they called it used and only gave her $35 back for it. She was told she was lucky because they were graceously giving an extra 15% on used game values.

Gamestop sucks for trades. Bestbuy is better, i find.
