Ok, well I don't know who here is a baseball fan or fan of sports in general but I am.

If you enjoy baseball/MLB, please discuss and post everything here. I checked few pages and didn't find much.

I want to especially talk about the newest rule in baseball concerning the wild card, now there will be 2 wild card teams in each League! I think this is interesting and will definitely make for more competitive play. Both teams will then play each other in a one game playoff to decide the WC team winner. Also, I believe next year the Houston Astros will move to the AL West to make it even 15/15.

Prediction wise, I think honestly Yankees will win AL east again. Boston lost a lot over the past few years, they will probably be "decent and competitive" but I don't see them besting the Yankees this year. TB will no doubt be one of the WC winners I think.

AL West, I'm not sure between Texas and the new upgraded Angels, I think either could take it. Angels look way better on paper but that doesn't mean anything. I think the loser of this battle will take the other WC.

AL Central, I'll go with either Twins or Cleveland, need more time for this one. Leaning Twins though.

NL east, going with the Nationals, Phillies and Braves battling. I think one of the WC will come from this division.

NL West, I'll go Padres or Giants.

NL Central, ST Louis.

Ok, perhaps this thread will get hotter once the season starts :)

Post your favorite team!

Mine are the Yankees.

Tigers are my team, they have a ridiculous batting line up now after adding Fielder, and they will have a great starting pitching rotation. I think they will win the AL central by a longshot if they stay healthy.

I'm not sure how I feel about the new wildcard yet. I don't really like 1 game playoffs but I'm sure it will be exciting.

Hi there, thanks for posting dude. Yeah, I know the new WC rule definitely makes the game WAY more competitive and crucial to winning your division now lol. Nobody wants to be that WC now because you have to play one more game then everyone else and it being a one game playoff, anything can happen lol. From what I've read, the players have mixed feelings on it. Some love it, others don't like it at all lol.

What I wonder, what if say AL east Yankees win it, but TB gets one WC, while say Tigers win Central, Twins get the other WC and Angels win AL West, with Texas having the same record as Twins say? Then I wonder what happens, they'll probably do who beat who the most, if that's tied, perhaps who did better against division opponents or maybe there would be an extra play off game to decide the second WC team lol. Which would be wild.

Huge Cards fan here. Looking forward to getting Wainwright back... and seeing how some of the younger guys play this year.

AL East is weird... stacked but not stacked.
AL West has two of the best teams by far in the AL.

The AL East is usually always stacked, but it's not quite as potent as it has been the past 10 years...but still, arguably the hardest division lol.

The O's are getting better, TB is always in it, Boston seems to be always in it, Toronto is just a thorn in everyone's side and young, and the Yankees pretty much speak for themselves...

I think the AL west, Texas is streaky...they've gone to the WS past two years and lost both times...they're not clutch imo.

Angels on paper are great, but on paper and performing on the field are two different things. Definitely wouldn't say by far, they have good teams but the Yankees and Tigers can take them on if they play their best. I expect A-rod to have a bigger year this year, no injuries hopefully, fully healthy hip and their pitching has improved a bit over the off season. Getting rid of A.J. was good, while I will miss him I think Pineda is a great pick up.
