Shoulders moving while using his fucking arms is an insanely low bar to even comment on, and just makes this funnier. Go back and look at his charged boot and tell me his animations are fine.
Two things can be true at once. Ashrah has wasted specials just like Conan does.
I don't understand your point of Jason not having a Fatal Blow. He has an X-Ray.
And even if it isn't an intense setup move, if you're that low on health and trying to survive you're probably not going to want to sacrifice oki or advantage to set this safety net of a timer up. This isn't something like Ermac's embrace where he can use it to protect his lead, Conan's shit only works when he's about to die. And coming back with 50 health is just lol. Get knocked back full screen where your only options are armor (which doesn't do anything when you die in one hit) or a projectile reflect that RANDOMLY reflects shit.
See this is the disconnect we're having. Mechanically Hellboy's kit is fine, but as far as him doing unique Hellboy shit he's garbage. He has an absurd access to unbelievable weapons, artifacts, allies and spells. And all he does is jump in the air and shoot a pistol. Its the creativity that holds him back. This is the same issue that Conan has, and the same issue that I thought Ghostface would have, but his kit has actual interesting thought put behind it. Unique things that only make sense from Ghostface.
If this is all Conan can do, I'd take Kotal over him any and every day. He's also a big swingy sword boy, but he also has death beams, multiple totem buffs and can turn into a god damn panther.
I wasn't talking about the length of his legs lmao
More dogshit points but hey, it's what I'm used to.
First off, it wasn't that his shoulders move it was how well it was animated. Same for his gradual knee bending during charge moves, so on and so forth. It's not a, "low bar" to notice and appreciate muscle articulation. The animations are fluid.
His animations are fine. If you look at clips from the film, for example, his win pose is 1-to-1 to how he moves in the movie. Same for many of his other animations. Please remove your bias, I beg you. Or just watch clips from Conan The Barbarian. That punch he does off his parry is nearly identical. What more do you want? To be able to count each individual sweat bead?
Okay, so you're really dense. Jason didn't have access to his X-Ray after a resurrection, because it used up his meter. Now, I want you to apply some basic critical thinking here. A difficult task to be sure, but walk with me.
If Conan has access to a comeback mechanic that doesn't require meter that he can still use, what do you think he could do with it after resurrecting?
Bear in mind, his Fatal Blow is a projectile.
Additionally, in his QA match where the move was used, he also had access to his meter. Something Jason did not. So he could do a jump in on a fireball read and then use an ex move. You know, like he did in the QA matct. Bear in mind, he has a jump attack that is a pop-up, unlike most jump-ins in the game. Go back and look.
Now, with Fatal Blow and meter, do you actually think this comeback mechanic WONT see play? I mean we saw Conan use it in the QA match. I noticed you conveniently left out what his EX parry did.
Like you really just have to think about this stuff in context. I just don't think you think this stuff through very deeply outside of the surface.
No, that is not all Hellboy had or did. If you think that's the case, you didn't play him correctly or at all.
Hellboy had:
Fast mids.
Fast low.
Command grab(that launched)
Anti-Air Grab(also launched)
Fast, cancellable fireball.
A fast, advancing, mid-hitting special that you can change the timing off to make it plus on block.
A low-hitting air jump attack that hit at three different ranges, and was both air dash and back dash cancellable.
4 different buffs in his trait that took the form of an "artifact" he used. And yes, he used Excalibur in his throw. Completely on brand.
He could also walk through fireballs with his trait.
And yeah, his air mobility was nuts. That's where the yomi and execution came in. Now, you might not personally like it, and that's fine.
And Hellboy players used all of these tools. If you think all he did was shoot a gun and jump, you either didn't play Injustice 2 seriously, or you're being deliberately dishonest.
I think it's deliberate dishonesty.
Hellboy was like the WORST example you could have picked, lmfao!
But wait, you say. Kotal Kahn. It's funny you mention him, because a lot of those moves you mentioned took up equippable slots. Whereas Conan has access to his full kit, no custom variations needed.
And even the width of his thigh was roughly on par or wider than anyone he was standing next to. I know this because after you said something, I went back and looked. Sure, he's top heavy, but so was Arnold in the movie.
Just put down the h8'rade. It's making you look ridiculous.
