I will admit tho that I was wrong about punishing the switch, as far as I can tell he is 100% unpunishable when he switches out. He can block no matter what

It is fun to think tho, that if we ever do get Kintaro added to the roster, that he'll be a hell of a Ghostface counter. Just being able to d1 unblockable teleport stomp every time lol

In the scenario, you're already Kobra from switching mid combo or something like that.

It would be a bar you're already spending. You don't spend a bar to combo, then a bar to switch, then a bar for the Rekka. You switch mid-combo and then use the Rekka trap.

It's an option and honestly? It's fine. It has a purpose.

I didn’t input the combo completely but I recorded the important part I think. With our girl mileena I think her enhanced teleport gets her out but doesn’t necessarily set us up for a teleport combo. though I think you catch him open teleporting up. if he’s using this scorpion string he has to dial it in fast enough for scorpion to actually land, so if you TP out he should be still completing his string and open to a punish

When I get home I wanna mess with the utility of killer swap and Cyrax self destruct. I wonder if you can recover fast enough to combo off it

Cyrax idea is a RIP, i didn't know the alt killers lost the command grab.

But messing with Ferra I found that she can do her air ambush grab out of both his sweep and his running knife dive. Will test this more.

Some more takeaways from testing with Kameos:

Ghostface can't avoid Jax's ground pound with his sweep or his dive (if you're wondering why I'd test this, Sub Zero can avoid Jax's GP with his b3,4)
Sonya won't do her divekick for GF's sweep or dive either
Kung Lao's Orbiting Hat will follow Ghostface during his teleport, but it will disappear if you switch Killers. This works either way. Either switching into a killer or switching back to baseform. The hat will disappear.
Motaro's teleport, Lao's Teleport, Sonya's divekick and Ferra's Torr stance will pull Ghostface out of either Killer stance. I forgot to try Darrius tho


And here's a combo I did with his dive into Ferra. 39% meterless

I need people's opinions on Ghostface. I don't have the character but he is looking like top 1 already. Multiple safe ways to open people with (sweep into mavado, tick-throw into scorpion, kobra overhead into scorpion, kira knife swings, low ender into scorpion, overhead). Has normals with deceptively long range. All around a vortex killing machine... It's giving me Raiden/Cyrax vibes, but that could simply be me SUCKING vs this particular character.

Edit: as if this all wasnt enough, he has an INESCAPABLE reset with sektor, a la Sindel/Sub-zero in previous patches. This character is 100% broken.

He's really good in my opinion. I'd say he easily has one of the best mids in the game or maybe it's just against Reiko. I can read he's gonna do his mid and stick out my FASTER b3 mid and his will eat mine alive. Then again, it seems like Reiko's got an extended hurtbox on his b3 whereas Ghostface's mid is his knife and that obviously doesn't have a hitbox, so maybe his mid's hitbox reaches my character's hurtbox before mine reaches theirs.

Kobra's exclusive string starts up in 6 frames. He has a 6 frame jab punish, and I can't imagine that most people know that. Could be massive to end a combo with a restand into Kobra switch, go for mixup and if it fails, punish them when they try to pressure and get their turn back
