Nitara buffs are way over the top, she is straight broken

I came here to read about the buffs that put her over the top? Which specific buffs? Sounds like you need to work on the match up?
Lots of characters in this game do big damage,
Lots of characters in this game have mix
Lots of characters in this game can burn meter on specials to stay safe,

Things Nitara doesn't have, that other characters have,
Can't combo off Throw
Horrible wake up armor
Under 1000 health if you don't use Ferra/Jax/Tremor
T-rex D1 that lots of characters can blow up in the poke war,

The ferra stuff is fake on block, she has a massive hurt box that lots of characters can clip in a lot of situations,

I won't sit and say she is bad,

But the term broken is thrown around a little too much these days, and Nitara is not broken.

The devs didn't listen to fans and think "oh man, this character we built from the ground up and know every in and out of is bad, look guys, everyone says she is bad"
Maybe they looked at the data of which characters are used most, and wanted to get that to a little more broad then Johnny Cage and Raiden,

Food for thought, patience is key when fighting most Nitaras, they will hang themselves eventually,
I was thinking Nitara being this strong should be the game standard, kinda surprised that ppl think that's over the top, everyone should be this crazy imo

100% bring more characters up, open the game up more, give more options.
the first 6-8 months of this game were so fucking stale and boring, not only from a players side, but from a spectator side.

The last patch actually got me excited about the game again, and I've been playing more then I did at launch.

More Sauce and More Juice, we're definitely in need of that.

I really wish they'd follow on their premisse that no one gets a breaker without full Cameo Bar instead of just 3 Bars, just like now Uppercut combo Launchers are fully unbreakable, those should be the game day 1 so ppl have interesting risk and consequence stuff in the game to stand out from.
 
And as "slow" as the overhead may be, you and I both know it's going to hit people. Geras' overhead is "slow" and it hits people. Nightwing's "slow" overhead hit people.

Simply having an unreactable low option will almost always open up the use of your slower overheads. So the talking point of, "she doesn't have a true 50/50 so it's fine" is pretty disingenuous. No one blocks correctly forever and you know that.

I think her damage(especially with Ferra) is a little over the top. In this version of the game, she's a two-touch character in many match ups. That's pretty frustrating to deal with.

Do I think she's broken? Eh, maybe but I lean more towards not.

Is she one of the better rush down characters in the game and completely tournament viable now?

Absolutely.
While she may not be the most overpowered hero, she is definitely a strong hero for an aggressive playstyle and will be a problem for many opponents in tournaments.

Why is Sonya scarier? Genuinely curious.
  • Gets safe (or PLUS) overhead mixups that are not as easy to interrupt as Ferra's.
  • S3,4 into square wave or S3 Sonya Divekick are both safe mixups that lead into 40%+ damage.
  • B4, leg grab is plus (can be upblocked, but then you do b4 air dash and get a free b4 again lol).
  • B2 Sonya Divekick is a safe combo starter with double overhead.
  • Gets access to decent zoning and ring toss setups.
  • Gets extra damage from air combo extensions.
  • If her armored move hits, time to guess either B2 into sonya divekick (safe), b4 leg grab (plus), raw leg grab (plus), S3 Sonya Divekick (safe) or S3,4 sonya square wave (safe).
