Which Kameo pairs with Baraka the Best?

Ok kano is still THE kameo for baraka, I think most in agreement with this even still in this version of the game.

I'm really starting to sway towards tremor and Ferra being better overall match wise that Jax...

Tremor can do alot of similar jailing things Kano can do but can't loop them like can can where as Ferra anytime df2 hits it's chunky damage and being able to use the upkameo njp with half kameo back still really nice for baraka.

Still like mortaro baraka still

Nrs done a really good job opening up the kameos last few patches, I know with baraka its mostly same thing off what ambush can he use df2 or db1 with but still nice have more options.

I wonder does that new Sonya dive kick work like up ferra? That she bounces off sektor doing a air combo in the trailer, that could be very good for df2 or air spin if so

3 Ferra/tremor

I think Shujinko might be another solid pick for Baraka.

1100 base health and you can do everything you can do with ferra except there's no cool down. You can always add damage to any combo with shujinko's f RB up RB, shujinko will always be available. You cannot make df2 safe on block tho. However on block you can end a string in b rb up rb for a over head thats -7 with a little push back and also zero cool down.

Off b3 starter he gets 37% meterless and 21EXdf2 he gets 40%. Add 1 to 2% more damage in the corner.

An example combo:
B31 dash b31 dash 21 f RB up RB (opponent begins to crumple) JI 14 spin. In or near corner replace jump in 14 with 24 spin.



This is all with plain vanilla Shujinko. Fully charged Shujinko gets you 2 of your opponents moves. I have yet to really dive into this stuff but to keep it simple df RB will be a projectile or non comboing move, and your dbRB is your combo launcher (depends on character). Whats good tho is a lot of dbRB moves are safe on block. Like scorpion's spear was -3, Rain's launching water thing was -4, Reptile bubble -4, raiden launching teleport was -2. That said Mileena ball roll, Sindel overhead kick but it launches, Lui's dragon kick were all death on block. Also some moves don't link into combo's so like Quan bone cage, sub ice ball, shao's low launching hammer move. To me this area needs time but seems a bit gimmicky. Like Reiko dbRB is his grab so you can't combo and dfRB is the sliding punch move, no point to charge Shujinko in this MU. Mileena ball roll mid combo does less damage than the basic Shujinko bnb's above, kinda no reason to charge Shujinko either other than yolo ball from jump distance.



EDIT (before i even post LOL): As I was typing and testing shit I'm already starting to lose faith in Shujinko. I was hoping he'd be an alternative to ferra (since she got nerfed) but he's like a more honest version of ferra, in terms of how he adds to Baraka's gameplay. You get great damage but you still have to open your opponent up and most stolen moves aren't dirty enough for this game. A better comparison might be with scorpion kameo, big damage and looks cool but minimal benefits outside of that. I need more experience tho

Also @1man3letters I agree with your list, but I'd throw cyrax in there somewhere. Possibly before ferra but its a tough call. Big damage, throw combos, and altho its not the game plan with this kameo anymore, chip sequences are available. Also net is weirdly an alright anti zoning tool, trading with that is always super fucking annoying lol

Dang cooldown revert on the Stryker grenades, back to 17.5 seconds (goro up punch time)

Value as kameo for baraka drops fair bit even with the new grenades

(Am tempted to put motaro joined with tremor power wise/mu wise to be honest)

Cyrax, khamelon, darrius even scorpion decent still also.
And the useable with anyone sareena and Sonya
I was hoping the sub buffs would make him bit more useful for baraka but I'm not geling with it myself, wish they reduced they cooldown on the ice armor into shoulder cancel.
