I'm nearly done the 3rd Mesa, and at least they seem shorter then the previous Seasons, thus far.

 

According to MK Warehouse, Ashrah had her festival disguise skin with the MASSIVE hat added with this patch, has anyone unlocked it in invasions yet, or knows where it is unlocked?

Not in the Tower, Not in any Invasion Mesas, Not in the Shrine.

I can only guess it'll show up in the Premium Skin Store Rotation at some point before the new Update drops in September.

I saw someone with the base skin on kombat league (NOT the revenant pallete) so it must be somewhere.

I believe it's in Sun Do post-mesa, unlocked with the final boss key. I also actively pursue the first palettes lol

Neat, so I should get it simply by completing the season then.

 

I got Liu’s Order of Darkness skin in red and black after just doing the first fight of the smallest single player ladder (using Takeda just to unlock his (crap) ending).

 

Got Kitana's base Order of Darkness skin. It's in the Sun Do Mesa, unlocked via the Chest you get access to by completing the New to Block Klue.

Just beat Titan Shang Tsung, so all that's left is to go and use his key on the various Mesas. I'll do that next week.

I assumed it was Liu Kang on the grounds he has orange + blue fire and his base Order of Darkness isn't available yet.

Fully completed the season, got 3 OoD skins for Kitana; one normal, two revenants. Unsure what the base version is, but the normal one you unlock is royal-blue/purple, so may indeed be the base version. Not too keen on it myself, just seems under-designed and don't like the mask. I've got my own Kitana in the dark blue variant of the Earthrealm skin, absolutely love it. Has this sort of TNMT '90 movie vibe to it. Didn't like Mileena and Reptile's Earthrealm skins, too Wrestlemania-meets-hip-hop cheese, but this one had that sort of oldschool early-90s USA ninja movie chic to it that just works, not to menion no self-promoting (4th-wall-breaking) sew-on patch branding, whilst the stainless steel Shredder mask just looks amazing.

New Johnny skin or is that a hybrid fight?

If it’s a new skin it’s pretty good, better than his bland workout gear that’s for sure.

But I’ve got him set as JCVD since launch so doubt I’ll be changing that anytime soon. Not only is it a great throwback to the OG MK1, but I especially love his stoic martial arts poses rather than the cartoonish excessively arrogant animations given to the default version of Cage. I personally think he needs a fresh voice actor after 3 games, the guy from MK Legends would be great.

Some people have moaned about the voice acting from JCVD but I think it’s absolutely fine and seems pretty true to the guy himself, not to mention a hell of a lot better than Nitara at any rate.

 

Part of me is disappointed that there's not a single skin that I want from invasions, and part of is happy that now I have no reason to play it at all.

Second season in a row where the seasonal store that you use the seasonal currency for is incredibly sparse, also a big disappointment

There‘s been around 5 really good ones since launch, the rest are mostly awful. The good ones have been great and become my defaults, but they're usually just hideously coloured junk.

I’m undecided on whether I prefer a sparser seasonal store or not. On the plus side, I like affording everything after a single playthrough without having to go back and grind if I want to unlock everything. On the other side though, it’s obviously disappointing if there’s very little to spend your hard earned coins on, especially if what‘s there isn‘t any good in the first place.
