question regarding leaderboard trueskill rank

for people with the same TS in the leaderboard if you go rank from highest to lowest when you click on the sort button do they have higher or lower truskill even being the same number or is it listed that way just randomly. Does this question make sense?

This question does not make sense.

But what I wanna know is...

1. How is the TS point basis determined?
2. Who is credited with the win or loss when is says "the game session is no longer available."?
3. Does "ragequitting" avoid a loss during gameplay?
4. Is there ever a time when you get disconnected that its counted as just that...a disconnection instead of a win or loss?

I know if someone rage quits or "pulls" as a ton of done on me, you still get the win regardless and they get the loss. Rage quitting=you lose if you leave. So it does not avoid a lose, you leave, system counts it as a lose.

If the server disconnects you, I don't believe anything changes for either player. I've went back to my record to test all the possibilities and this is what I've found.

Anyone rages on you or pulls, a on purpose "disconnect" one way or another, they get the loss while you get the win.

Once you're in the select screen, you back out or pull whatever, you get the loss.

I'm also thinking, Lumpy's question regarding the TS. When I sort it, it goes in order from highest to lowest. So if highest is 48, it'll go from 48 highest to 26 lowest or whatever, everyone else all in between it'll rank in numerical order. As far as how it's judged, well I know since the last few patches it's harder to get higher in player match. I was 38 the first 4 months, then 37, 36, but am now 33/34 consistently. It pretty much judges you based on how you do against other players around or higher then your skill level.

ok to rephrase my question, I actually stopped screwing around and started playing a little more seriously, I'm at trueskill 34 now, if I go to the sort option going from highest TS on the board to lowest, there's alot of people who have TS 34, I'm wondering the order they have us TS 34 people is determined by partial points or just a random order. Does that clarify it?

well I'm a big loser so I'm on the leaderboard. I just checked the top 100 and it shows it. I would assume you just play a ranked match with someone then ask them what it said. there may be another way to check but I'm not sure.

You were NEVER in the 36-38 TRU SKILL range, maybe for like a day. Not consistently though. The only people that get that high are me, foxy grandpa, curbolicous, and ocassionally forever swagg. Not you though, just sayin

You really don't think an Ermac that knew what he was doing in the first four months couldn't get a 38? MKF is definitely a great player, and Ermac was a monster before they beat him with the nerf bat. Do you remember how retarded F4 was? To the point where you got off a free unblockable on hit? I realize I'm some unknown scrub, but c'mon, I see no reason why he would lie and there is a pretty reasonable explanation.

Yeah, MKF is a consistent player. I wouldn't doubt for one second that he had a 38.

It's not that I don't think Ermac is good or anything like that at all. It's just that back than I use to check the leaderboards constantly every single day, and I had the highest rank on there. I was the only 38 true skill. Nobody else was. MKF30 was always like in the 33-34ish range, and if he was anywhere close to me I would have known. So I was just basically calling him on a bluff that's all

Alright, gotcha. You would know so I'll defer to you :)

1. Based on how many people of the same trueskill and above you defeat. Think of it like getting experience points in an RPG. Your TS can still increase if you beat someone with 30ish trueskill while you have around the same range. You have to do this consistently though, and try to not have too many close matches for best results (kick ass). Losing to someone with much lower trueskill will lower yours almost instantly, however. Hell, if you reach the 40 trueskills, and you lose a round to a scrub, even if you win, your TS may lower.

2. Varies. I've received soooo many losses from disconnects in ranked, and my trueskill always suffers from it. I finally made it to 40, but it dropped to 39 yesterday after disconnecting to a scrub. ;_;

3. No. If you're going for the 10 in a row achievement, it will prevent you from losing your streak though. That is, if you do it before the "Finish Him" message pops up.

4. Yes, when it's disconnected in the select screen...but only in Player.

Except I'm not bluffing, I said within the first few months like around 4th or 5th, I was for like a short time. I was like I said before the patches first few months and I did it without KL, Reptile, Cage or any other top tier either like most players did in the top 10 ;) Anyone that's 31-38 legitimately not counting Xzombie cage or whatever he calls himself are good players, there are people also within the top 100 that are also very good players yet aren't in the top 10. And yes, I was only 38 for like a few days but was 37, and 36 longer before the last patches. I was mostly 35 though during the middle months.

Not that it really matters at this point though, there are people who give good games from 30-37 and people like Zombie Cage cheat, I watch the boards too, you don't go from 27-50 in a few days, that's nonsense...I am pretty consistent actually with my win/lose ratio, and considering I use mid tiers half the time, most players have to use top tiers just to beat me or hold their own... All of those names listed I've beaten at some time or another except Foxy Grampa who I didn't play, he's UK, I don't play UK people because the lag is ridiculous, not worth it. Forever swag, barbie, Angel etc, etc I've played though. Forever Angel few days ago actually.

Thanks Larry and Enenra, appreciate it. I try, I'm sure I could have been a little better if I turned to the KL's and Reptiles but for me, one that's too easy and secondly, I enjoy playing with my personal favs like Ermac, Fujin, Sektor, Scorp etc. Most of the ninjas who just happen to be more higher middle tier or mid tier. :)

If that Cage guy is actually boosting though, he would have to win a ton of matches against a fake account wouldn't he because he would have a terrible terrible TS on the other account and get basically no boost. I went from 16-34 in a couple of weeks but I've been stuck at 34 for the last couple of days. But still there's a big gap between 27-50, because the TS levels up so slow once you get higher levels.

Almost everyone I know or spoke to says he's modding or boosting. You saw his streak? 1050 something straight? lol there's no way he'd have that great of a streak against good players 32-38 range, or even if he played lesser skilled because you'll lose TS points. A few people have said he has a fake account to beat up(don't know how true this is but sounds like it would make sense) I saw his TS go from 27-47 in a few days many months ago, that's impossible lol. Like you said it levels up so slow lol

i'm pretty sure trueskill (it's the same in like every other game) is based on how often you play, and your W/L ratio. so if someone boosted for like, hours, it would rise significantly

maybe he just enters the match, presses quit from xbox 2 (or account #2) well might just be as fast to beat them up quickly too though and just press rematch than resetting up the match again. But if someone's not fighting back you can probably win a round in 10-15 seconds. So that could make alot of wins pretty fast, the question is, why would you waste your time doing it. It's like this guy back from MK vs DC, DACninja, all he did was a broken glitch of superman ground pound infinite for thousands of games, how exactly would that be any fun?
