Wow , this double lantern combo on the corner is truly brutal , hehe !

I'm playing majority of time in this beta with Li Mei, and Frost indeed is a very good Kameo pair assistance to her gameplay !

damn, this is amazing awesome, but, it seems very situational and you got to be very lucky with the character positioning .... anyway, the amount of hits and damage in the end is truly ridiculous , lol !

Anyway, the olds easy-to-do BnB combos still seems to be the safest option , hehe

I found her hard to get to work... It seems she has no decent mid. High fireball, jump protection... I think she needs a mid string starter into special cancel

Also I thought maybe lantern and frost ball would be good but frost ball dissipates and dose not float on.. Making frost ball + lantern set ups needing a lab, if possible at all.

Also, throw kick thing to switch sides.. This looks like it should collide with lantern.. But it don't.

hehe, all right, could be, however ....

for this 486 dmg video , if the opponent had blocked properly the second combo string , the F43, none of the next sequence could have happen , so, truly amazing set of combo hability, but, very very situational , I really doubt anyone could put this entire sequence 100% guarantee in every online match

anyway, at the visual level, still is impressive when done, hehe !

A mid isn’t always the answer. Kitana has a launching, special cancellable, safe mid string and she’s still the worst character in the beta

B2 and B3, tho not great, are still decent mids that can get the job done. She makes up for it with her great staggers tho. 12 being staggerable while +2 and 21 being staggerable, coupled with the mix of f4/flipkick, and she’s a menace upclose

Will likely post some videos tomorrow if I can make some quick clips. Got several lantern setups that aren't guaranteed or anything but working pretty consistently against the randoms. Excited to see what we can find with her by the time the weekend is over.

yep, despite not every Li Mei setup for lantern work well 100% of the time, any string or isolated move of her , that is cancellable and is plus+ on defense , and you end that with putting the lantern on the screen, make a very good defensive option to avoid any character to jump constantly to your direction during that 3 second duration , so, this move, by itself alone , on its own, is seems already so damn good to use , hitting or not, hehe

Am I the only scrub who’s using Sonya with her? I mean I’m gettng pretty decent damage from every hit. Like you can finish any string into DB3 and then extend it with Sonya and then whatever you want after.

Some combos:

B34 DB3, Sonya, BF4 - 328dmg

Sonya is fun but I don’t think she’s the kameo for Li Mei. All she does is extend the combos for more damage, which is fine, but she doesn’t cover her weaknesses. 434, 124, and especially B34 have gaps (with b34’s gap being full combo interrupted). Same with 214…full combo interrupted. F43 is mad unsafe as well. Li Mei has to do a lot of commitment with Sonya, but it can work.

I feel like she pairs better off with frost and Jax. Frost for example, she allows Li Mei to play…”lame”. She can play a lot safer, she has mixes on top of the mixes she already has, setups, grounded stun allowing the safe use of f43, better zoning, etc. She can still do the same damage you’re doing with Sonya, but with a lot less risk and more options to start a combo.

Anyone know how to do the machine gun lamp thing in the corner.. Where you juggle them with 3+ lamps cast as soon as they explode (Twitter has video)... I can't get it working.. Is it a bug.

That's true but here's the 40 percent ,"bnb" version I was talking about. This ish looks like a BNB to me there ianiany strict timing or spacing in that combo. Just frost coming from the locker room with some ice. Lol can't wait to lab the spacing in n actual practice mode lol. Wanna see how consistent this is
