I hope their is less hate on the event, just because it is being backed up by "MLG and E-Sports". A event is an event, it gets your game bigger, that's good. I personally don't have a hatred towards either organization, FGC or E-Sports. To me, it's all in the good of competitive gaming.

Maybe it's because I never really cared about why the "hardcore" gamers hate stuff, but why have MLG and E-Sports in general became such banes in the gaming community? From what I see, all they are doing is bringing more competitive players who couldn't do what they love to a bigger stage.

Say what you will about MLG, this is still really big. Awesome to see MLG pick it up.

Cibernetico long story short, MLG had a few collab attempts with the FGC, and each time things went south.

And out of curiosity, whose fault was it that it went south? It really wouldn't surprise me if it was the FGC.

And as for MLG picking up the game, yeah I agree. This is pretty big considering the MK community is going to be doing as much as it can on it's own since NRS looks like it will quit supporting us.

Cibernetico - long story slightly less short - EVO2k4 I think (my have been 2k5) shared the same space as MLG. MLG took 3/4 of the space with far less of a crowd and was apparently rude about the whole thing.

Add that experience to some jealousy over the prize money in MLG, and there's some tension there.

I believe it went south due to conflicting view points, that can always be settled. How do you expect to grow, if no one wants to overcome and work on a negotiable solution?

The same mentality that Capcom players have against MK, or FGC has on MLG. You just need to work on a better solution, hating on either or isn't going to help neither party, and everyone will always be segregated. Such ignorance is bad.

This is a good thing for MK and hopefully SF IV gets picked up too. Grats to MK and the dedicated MK community that helped get the game to this level.

It won't. Capcom won't do it. The other game is going to be Soul Calibur 5. Namco and WB are the only ones that seem to get along with MLG.
