I think I need to take a bit of a break from the game, as this is day number three where I'm just playing poorly. I can't close matches out, I'm blowing Sets I should be winning, making horrible reads, and my entire game just sucks regardless of what character I play as.

After a few day break. I think I am going to requalify and see what Tier I get. I do think that Killer Tier player quitting on me in Qualifiers inflated me higher than I should be.

Taking a break sometimes is always good. You'll be better with a clear mindset next time you play.

Absolutely the reason I'm doing it. Three days in a row, three bad play days. I was 1-5 tonight, and it should have been 3-3 if I could properly close out matches. Very frustrated with myself for two of those losses.

It's not the loosing itself that bugs me, being outplayed, facing a stronger opponent, that's not a problem. Against Killer Tier opponents who I have no chance against, it's fun to see just how much damage I can do and how well I can keep my defence up. Knowing I'm playing poorly though and screwing myself up, that frustrates me.

Over the last few days, I've noticed:

• The improvements I was making with Combo Breaking have gone right out the window
• I'm not able to keep pressure up
• I'm dropping Openers constantly. My overall damage output seems down too, and I'm dropping a lot of Enders
• Screwing up/dropping a lot of inputs in general

On the plus side, my Shadow Metre usage is good, and my Orchid game has improved, but yes, time for a breather and to come back fresh in a few days.

The re-qualifying will be good to, because assuming no one quits on me this time, there shouldn't be any question on where it places me; I do think I should be in Silver Tier, to be honest.

I am moving on from "holy crap this game is fun lets try out everyone" phase to now "time to lab out the frames and see wtf is + what is punishable " phase lol. While I am still having an amazing time, in one of my last matches I was respecting this dudes pressure until I decided hmm might as well contest that move its probably plus and it said "punish".. I was like oh...time to lab lol. Love this game tho!

Yea he shut it off we are fine now I'm sure but my dog never freaked out so idk HOW bad it was, or if it was gas or sewage leak in the first place.

We had someone who turned out to be a random right at the start. Shortly after, Hellbringer had an issue where his controls froze up, but after that everything was solid.

You could also turn Combo Assist on, use it for a little to get a better feel for the timing, and then start doing the directional inputs manually.
